Bette – Yes, I did!
Alice – Wow, Miss Porter! I think you may soon graduate from love school!
Bette – What?
Alice – Uh … I’m happy for you!
The brunette turns serious.
Bette – You helped me … put things in perspective. Thank you!
Alice – I’m glad it worked out.
Bette – Listen … how about brunch this Saturday?
Alice – Will the lovebirds be available? I’m impressed!
Bette smiles warmly.
Bette – Yes, Tina wants you to meet her friend, Meg.
Alice – Wow, things are definitely looking up! I’m in!

The Planet, morning: Tina and Meg walk in and look around.
Meg looks surprised.
Meg – Wow, I’ve never seen so many women together since our sorority initiations! Is this a lesbian hangout?
The blonde chuckles.
Tina – Yes. You need to see the nightclub. It’s a spectacle!
She sees Alice and Bette seated at a table.
Tina – There they are!
They walk over to the table.

The Planet, morning: Bette, Tina, Meg and Alice are eating and talking.
Alice – So … how did you two meet?
Tina and Meg smile at each other.
Meg – In college … first day on campus! We were roommates.
Tina – And have been best friends ever since.
Bette – It’s great that you remained close. I went to college on the East Coast and couldn’t keep most of my relationships. After a while, life is too busy and we just stop communicating.
Tina – Yes, my childhood friends are all there and I only talk to them when I go home.
Meg – Where did you graduate, Alice?
Alice – UCLA. My mom is a Hollywood actress, Lenore Hailey, so I grew up around here.
Meg – Oh wow! My mom loves her!
Alice smiles proudly.
Alice – Yeah … she has a big fan club. If you want, I can get an autographed photo for your mom.
Meg – She would love it! Thanks!
Alice – And how about Mr. Meg? Where is he?
Meg chuckles.
Meg – Brad …He is playing a golf tournament with his buddies today.
Alice – Oh, if you have any cute friends, bring them my way.
Meg points to the producer.
Meg – She is my cute friend!
Bette turns to her girlfriend and holds her hand.
Bette – And she is taken!
Alice rolls her eyes.
Alice – I’m talking about cute guys, Miss lovebird!

Shane! Great way to introduce her :-) Meg is right, Tina is full of love and adopts Shane right away as her little sister. I love how you put the gang together one by one. Btw I can’t remember if the show ever explained how Shane became Bette’s friend. Did they ever?
Tina is spending quite some time at Bette’s house. Nice how T + B seem to get closer naturally. “..and this is our bedroom.” Too cute!

I agree about Gec Q – i’m not watching but sometimes after their “news” i have a hard time even read Tibette’s story. And i may only guess how hard and uninspirid it can be for writers, who tried to write Tibette’s stories.
Sad.
I like that Tina is making friends with Shane. I am beginning to see Tina as a good judge of people. She sees the positive attributes in people and possibly the potential in individuals. I just hope that Bette will learn some of this as well.
Peter Pan – that was a hilarious reference. Its very hard to write humor. But this was good…

Frickin’ Bette is too damn funny when it comes to Tina…especially in a bar!! She soon as burn a whole in anybody with a “lazor look” and not give 2 flips who has to parish!!! HeHeHe!!!!!
She ain’t likely to apologize about her alpha-ness when Tina is being pursued. Tho I think she may convince her to cut Shane some slack.
Tina knows all she has to do is tell Bette to “c’mere” with a soft southern drawl and she’ll settle down immediately.

Now that’s one of the loveliest answer I ever read in a fanfiction ! Simply lovely…
I always felt that our dearest Bette was deeply a romantic nature but her numerous emotional scars never let her feel safe enough to take the risk to love someone – until her soulmate appear in her life, Tina.
Bette is so the opposite of Shane, who is the only true womanizer and player of the gang.
She just didn’t believe in love because of her family, that’s all.
Great chapter again, I love your story so much !!
