A Single Mom Meets Someone New Ch 85

Gillian sat in the locker room listening to her coach talk about Monday’s game against Arizona. 

“Who was that hottie that was walked you to practice?” Lindsay asked quietly. 

“Grace. I’m taking her to MOCA tonight.” Gillian said. 

“We have to plan that they are gonna try and walk Fiona so were gonna have to get the bases loaded for Gillian.” Coach said. 

“She looks like more than a one nighter.” Lindsay said. 

“I think she might be, but we’ll see though.” Gillian said. 

“Ladies is something you’d like to share with the rest of the team.” Coach Smith asked. 

“No ma’am.” Lindsay said. Gillian stifled a giggle.

Tina sat behind her desk trying to pretend she was listening to the movie producer. 

“Is everything okay?” He asked. 

“Uh yeah. Just give me your proposal I’ll read it and get back to you.” She said. The producer stood and handed her the folder and left. Tina picked up her cell and dialed Gillian. It went straight to voice mail. 

“Rose has Gillian called?” Bette called to her assistant. 

“No. Bette called said she was going to pick Victoria up from play group and meet you at the house. Oh and she talked to Gillian and she’s fine.” Rose said.

“When did she call?” Tina asked. 

“About 30 minutes ago.” Rose said. Tina picked up the phone and dialed Bette. 

“Hey babe.” Bette answered. 

“You talked to Gillian?” Tina asked. 

“Yeah. We had a confrontation in the front of class but then we talked. You’re right the Skylar break up is still very raw for her. I think it’s best we don’t try and force the issue. If they are going to work it out we should let them do it and stay out of it.” Bette said. 

“Did she tell you how everything went down?” Tina asked. 

“Tee. You are going to have to talk to her about that but I would let her come to you with it.” Bette said. 

“So she told you but asked you not to tell me?” Tina said. Bette said nothing. “I take your non answer as a yes.” 

“Why don’t you come home and we’ll talk about it?” Bette said. 

“I’ll meet you at the house.” Tina said and hung up.

Grace leaned against a tree with a clothes bag hung over her shoulder. Gillian walked out wearing a pair of cut off sweats and a tight fitting black tank. Grace couldn’t help but notice how cut and toned Gillian was. 

“Hey sorry I’m late. I had a couple extra reps to do. I didn’t have time to change I hope I didn’t keep you waiting to long.” Gillian said. 

“It’s okay. I kinda like it.” Grace said. Gillian good tell exactly what she was thinking by the way she was looking at her. Gillian smiled and swung her back pack over her shoulder. 

“You ready?” Gillian said. 

“Yep.” Grace said. “Can I just say you look really hot right now.” 

“Thanks. You don’t look so bad yourself.” Gillian smiled.
