A Search for the Truth Ch. 9
Tina was picturing all kind of horrible things happening to Bette. She was very protective and possessive over Bette and she also had a bit of a jealous streak. Bette knew this about Tina. Bette also felt protective over Tina but tried not to let jealousy rule her thoughts.
Tina tried to talk herself down but hour after hour of not hearing from Bette made her feel crazy with worry. She decided to watch a movie to calm her nerves and refocus her energy. On the ship she and Bette had a nice cosy family movie theatre. Watching a movie always made her feel at peace, so she decided to watch when Harry Met Sally. Halfway through the movie her phone went off letting her know she had received a text message. Her eyes lit up when she saw it was Bette.
Bette’s text: Hey sweetie I know your worried and probably mad right now but please know that I’m okay and will explain more when I see you. Your eternal love, B.
Bette knew she couldn’t take the risk of relaying any information on their plan to Tina through a technology device. The information could be hacked so she limited her contact with Tina.
Tina felt relief when she heard from Bette and decided to savor that moment instead of dwelling on Bette not being home as she promised. Tina sat back and finished watching her movie all the while thinking about the love of her life. Likewise Bette sat in her bed wandering what Tina was doing besides being upset and wandered if the girls went to bed without a fight. She wished she could devulge ever detail to her bestfriend and then curl up in her arms until morning struck but for now she would have to settle for hearing Tina’s voice when she played the voice recording on her phone.
Day 3
Today was the day that their plan would be carried out.
Bette sat outside the building listening in and recording the conversation going on inside.
Sam: Good morning Dr. Wilson. This is my wife Sandra.
Dr. Wilson (faking a smile): Hi Sandra
Sepia as Sandra in disguise: Hi Dr. Wilson
Dr. Wilson (sitting down in a stool): So tell me ladies what brings you here today.
