Chapter 41
It had been 1month since Tina and Bette decided on being friends again and it was going great.
They would have dinner or lunch at least twice a week and spend at least one whole day together, shopping, going to the movies or visiting small galleries. They were very quickly becoming best of friends again. Peggy and Bette had even joined Helena and Tina for dinner.
It wasn’t easy for Bette seeing Tina and Helena together Bette found herself on several occasions during the meal holding back the urge to slap Helena’s hand away when she would rub Tina’s arm or place her hand on Tina’s thigh as Bette witnessed when she bent over to pick up her napkin she had accidently dropped. Controlling her jealousy was proving to be a hard thing to do that night but she had managed. Bette hated to admit that Helena did treat Tina with respect and it was obvious to Bette, Helena was very smitten with Tina.
The construction on the gallery was going as scheduled, if things continued going well she would have her opening in 4 weeks instead of 6 she had artist already signed up and her connections set, all looking forward to attending what had become in the art world one of Bette Porter’s legendary dinners and openings.
Construction on her house was a different story, after the demolition of the kitchen Tim had discovered the plumbing was in a sorry state and if not replaced or updated could become a very costly and expensive issue down the road, he had recommended replacing it now since it was already exposed. Bette had agreed the added expense wasn’t the issue it was the added time it would end up taking.
Bette longed to sleep in a proper bed and have a nice meal at home rather than take out or room service, Thank God for Tina and the home cooked meal she had with her at least once a week and Alley was great as well inviting her for Sunday breakfast.
Tina was meeting Bette at her hotel they were going to go out to Shane’s house for a BBQ it was Carmen’s birthday, and Carmen didn’t want anything big just friends and family.

Great update, but I have to agree way to short!
I don’t find kissing a good idea right now. Maybe Tina should first come to tems with the fact what although they didn’t start very well, Bette is still a part of her life and that maybe friendship is never going to be enough for her. Once she will realise that Bette is waiting patiently she might decide to let her know that she feels the same and break it off with Helena-not necessarily in that order..!
oh T plz stop torturing Bette. Loving the story tho’.

It is like filling a bucket one drop at a time, but I love it anyway cause there’s a lot going on. Little friendly dinner here, friendly sleep over there then bam! They’re naked on the beach. I love the pace that you’re leading this story at. Glad to see they’re being back to being best friends again. I’m so tempted to blurt out what I think will happen but, okay I’ll shut up. I have to agree with many of the othes who have commented… Great Update … give me more , or too short of a chapter, where is the next page :-) but despite the chapter being to short I am still loving this story. However kind of wish Tina would stop teasing Bette and kind of stop kidding herself and get it on with Bette. How long is she going to punish the Bette.But I guess you are warming us all up for the big bang so I say big it on !!!
I hope Bette moves in and NEVER leaves!
I kinda like the slow pace, but the wait is agonizing!
lovwd the update,but i don’t now if it’s a good idea for bette to move in with tina.how will she feel the frist time helena spends the night not happy.we know bette said that she’ll wait for tina but for how long.maybe she should start dating again and she how tina feels about that.jealous we now,i love them both but i don’t think bette should have to be lonely.pps
Oh boy, what a quandry. If Bette does move in with her, Tina should break off things with Helena because she knows her heart belongs to Bette and that it will only be a matter of time until they do the deed. If Tina doesn’t break off with Helena she should NOT let Helena spend the night with her while Bette is in residence. This could mean the world to them or it could spell disaster. Oh what the Hell, let’s do it. Thanks for posting.
I can see both B&T’s point of view here. It is Tina’s house and she can have whom ever she likes to have there. Helena always going to NY make it seems like she is using Tina as a “trophy girlfriend”. Only there when she needs her. Beete is right in that if Tina and Helena are having a meaningful relationship, then she should talk to her before moving in someone in her house. But, the bottom line is that they are NOT having a meaningful relationship. PPS:o).

I’m not sure how you do it; but you do it well. I read your first story and absolutely loved it. Then, A Part of Me came along, it’s even better than your first story. Now, I’m even more intrigue with 1st Class. Seriously, you are pretty damn awesome, and just when I thought you were going to end your story and I can go back to reading Pushkin. You pulled me back for another one. Damn you, but keep it up! Post soon. PS. Do you beta? Heck, do you take request because I have ideas for a story or two lol :)
