The next couple of days were a blur for Shane. She was all over the place. For the first time in almost a year she was drug free. She walks into the planet for her morning espresso to find Alice sitting at a table hard at work again.

 Walking over to Alice.

Shane-“Hey Al.”

Alice-“Hey shaney, you look like you are having a good morning.”

Shane sits back in her own world.

Alice- “hello earth to Shane!”

Shane coming back to reality, “I’m sorry Alice. It is just nice to be back in this state of mind. I feel like I am finally doing something right. I have been clean for four days now and it is just so nice to see clearly again.”

Alice-“well it is nice to have you back yoda. So when are you going to try and call Carmen?”

Shane-“I’m not, She told me she would call when she was ready. I trust that when it is time she will call, even if I am going crazy in the process.”

They both sit back in silence for awhile, until tina pops in for her morning tee.

Tina- “Hey guys”

Tina sits down next to Alice and whispers in her ear “how is she holding up?”

Shane takes notice to this and pipes in.

Shane-“for fuck sake guys I am right here. Tina I am holding up, I promise.”

At that Shane gets up and heads out to work.

Back at the house Jenny is in a sticky situation. She calls a meeting with the group. Telling everyone that it is an emergency. The group slowly fills into the house. The only ones not there are Shane and Carmen.

Jenny-“thank you all for coming. I wanted to tell all of you without Shane around.”

Bette-In a frustrated tone. ”tell us what exactly?”

Jenny-“Well Bette I was out today and ran into Carmen, so I asked her how she was doing. She told me that she was going to call Shane today. She wants more time, she says she still can’t be around her because she met a girl two months ago and is really trying to give it a fair chance. She knows that if Shane is around she wont be able to help herself…..”
