It was August 27th, the first day of school, and Skylar was starting Kindergarten. In her little red sandals and jean skirt, with a white tee and red button down cardigan her blonde hair in two ponytails, she was ready to take on the world. She grabbed her little carebear book bag and headed outside to the car Bette was in the car waiting for her and Tina this was the day that their baby was officially growing up. Tina grabbed Skylars lunch in one hand (since she would be attending school all day), and baby Josslyn (Skylars little sister), in the other. They finally managed to make it to the car By this time, Bette had opened the car doors for all of them she helped Tina put Josslyn in her car seat, and helped to get Skylar situated in her booster seat. They were then on their way to Centennial Montessori School. Bette and Tina chose Montessori school because of the curriculum and layout of the school; besides, the school valued the arts, and they both loved that aspect.

Bette and Tina both got out of the car, and, grabbing baby Josslyn, and Tina helping Skylar out of the car, both displayed a look of sadness on their faces. Josslyn, just learning how to walk, held Bettes hand, while Skylar held Tinas as Tina and Bette both held each others hands. They all walked up the steps and into the Kindergarten classroom and met Mrs. Kroenstein Skylars beautiful twenty-something teacher. Bette and Tina introduced themselves

Bette: Mrs. Kroenstein, Im Bette Kennard-Porter, and this is my wife, Tina and this little beauty, this is our daughter, Skylar

Mrs. Kroenstein shook hands with all three of them

Mrs. Kroenstein: Nice to meet you and who is this little cutie (touching babys Josslyns hand)

Tina: This is Josslyn, Skylars little sister

Mrs. Kroenstein: Isnt she beautiful.. with those golden curls and big brown eyes.. How old?

Bette: 18 months on the 4th

Mrs. Kroenstein: Well shell be coming here in a couple years herself. Skylar are you excited? Im really glad to have you in my classroom this year.

Skylar just looks shyly and nods her head running over to the playtime kitchen set in the room.
