A Leap Of Faith (Chapter 2)
Tina: Oh ok, well Al, we’ve been friends for what… the best part of ten years? So I’m sorry if I can read you like a book… but if Dana doesn’t know then what are you going to do?
Alice: The problem is what I’ve already done… I… I… well… I went to her house last week, the night of the Provocations opening. I saw the way that Tonya was parading her around to all of the elite personalities at the event and I got so angry… so I went to her condo at 4am and told her she couldn’t marry Tonya, when she asked me why, I couldn’t come up with any sort of logical explanation so I kissed her…
Tina: And?
Alice: And… she kissed me back… at least initially she did, but I pulled away, I was so confused and I just ran off and left her there, since then I’ve been throwing myself into work and avoiding any contact with her. I’m such a fool; I don’t know what to do, but I think I’ve messed everything up…
Tina rubbed Alice’s back as the writer began to cry again, “Oh Alice, I’m sure you haven’t messed everything up… why are you so scared? Like you said, Dana is your best friend; you can’t solve this problem by running away from it!”
Alice: Yeah I know, but what am I supposed to say? I just… I don’t want to lose her, that’s all…
*** A Few Days Later ***
Alice was sat on her own at The Planet, attempting to type up her latest script for The Chart radio show. She couldn’t sit at home and work because her mind was constantly filled with thoughts of her best friend. At least at The Planet, there was the background chatter to let her mind focus directly on the task in hand. Alice was so involved in her work that she didn’t notice Dana arrive. The athlete had just finished training for the day and was on her way home when she stopped in to pick up some food for dinner; Tonya was away on a business trip and Dana couldn’t face another night cooking for herself. Ordinarily, she would have invited Alice over to spend a couple of evenings, renting movies and goofing around, but recently, it seemed that Alice couldn’t bare to be in Dana’s company. It was tearing Dana apart, she missed her best friend desperately, but she wasn’t even sure that she could call Alice that anymore. Since the night of ‘the kiss,’… the kiss that turned Dana’s world upside down; everything had changed.

Hey! Another great chapter and I’m loving the tension! I agree that it seems longer when you’re typing it, but keep it coming!
fan friken tastic :) Gotta love the lil arguments between Alice and Dana :) for sure Tonya is no Match for Alice! its ok about the short-ness but.. i have ways of bribing people and i feel that your next chapter is going to be 10 pages long! lol ;) hope your feeling better, your story kicks long or short :)
