“I don’t know… this doesn’t sound like her” Katharine claimed as Tina told her yesterday’s events.
“Mom Bette was really uncomfortable”
“I would guess… look I’ll talk to her but it just doesn’t add up” Katharine insisted.
“I was shocked”
Just then Linda came bursting in a few people trying to restrain “That fucking bitch she’s dead!”
Tina looked at her seeing the blood flow from her lip. “What happened?”
“Your precious girlfriend” Linda spat.
“What did you do?” Tina immidetly asked.
“She hit me!”
“I swear to god if you laid a hand on her…”
“Your psycho girlfriend is fine”
Tina looked at her mother for a second “If I’ll find out you had anything to do with all of this craziness… that’s it”
“Tina, I swear to you… I had nothing to do with this” Katharine defended.
Tina quickly walked out running to hers and Bette’s room. “Bette?”
“Here” Bette said sitting on the bed holding her face in her hands.
“What happened? I just saw Linda and… oh my god!!!” Tina exclaimed when she saw Bette’s face running to her she gently touched her eye “Did she do this to you?”
“You should see her face” Bette laughed, “I think I improved it”
“Bette” Tina whispered, “You have a black eye!”
“It’s more purplish” Bette tried to ease Tina.
“What happened?” Tina asked taking the ice Bette held and putting it gently on her eye.
“Nothing” Bette said letting Tina take care of her.
“Bette… tell me”
“It doesn’t matter. What’s important is that she threw the first punch so she can’t sue”
“Bette” Tina kissed her head.
Bette sighed then told Tina what happened. “Bette… you should’ve ignored her”
“Really? If someone would have said this about me you would’ve ignored them?”
“It’s not the same”
Bette caressed Tina’s cheek “It’s exactly the same.”
“I can’t believe she punched you!”
“Well like most people you know… she has issues” Bette teased.
Tina leaned down kissing Bette lightly. “Maybe we should get you checked out.”
“I’m fine” Bette smiled “Really, I’ll just have to wear sunglasses for the rest of our time here. Thank god I look good in them”
