    Just thinking… We skip a week. Tina’s coming home.

    Chapter 61

     

    At Bette and Tina’s apartment:

    Bette had just put  on new clothes, a pair of jeans and a tank top and some sneakers.

    They were getting ready to go back.

    “Wow, we’ve been here almost three hours.” Bette says surprised as she looks at her watch. “Thanks for coming with me. Even if we didn’t talk much. It was just what I needed. Alone time without being alone, if you know what I mean!” Bette says to Dana and smiles.

    “That’s what friends are for.” Dana replies.

    “Yeah, well let’s go.” Bette says.

    They drive back to the hospital, where Dana drops Bette off, while she goes back to practice.

    Bette runs up to Tina’s room, she stops outside the room to take a deep breath.

    She then slowly opens and enters.

    She sees Alice and Shane there by Tina’s side.

    Tina looks up when she hear the door open. She looks right into Bette’s eyes with a sad look. Bette looks back also sad.

    Shane and Alice see the interaction between them so they break the silence and the glances.

    “Hi, Bette! We’re going to go. We’ll come by tomorrow again, okay.” Alice says and smiles at Tina.

    “Thanks for coming.” Tina says. Alice and Shane gave Tina a hug, they also gave Bette a hug. Which makes Bette a little teary.

    Alice and Shane leaves.

    Tina looks back at Bette who is now standing beside the bed, looking down on Tina.

    “What took you so long?” Tina asks curiously.

    I was at home with Dana. I showered and ate.” Bette replies.

    “And that took you three hours?” Tina asks.

    “I needed some time to myself.” Bette says softly.

    “You needed time to yourself? But Dana was there” Tina says.

    “Yes. She was just there. I needed time alone, but I didn’t want to BE alone.” Bette says.

    “Baby, please don’t shut me out.” Tina pleads.

    “I’m not shutting you out, I just needed some time to think.” Bette replies and takes a seat in the chair next to the bed.

    “I’m feeling it Bette. I feel you pulling away from me, and it scares me.” Tina says as tears starts to escape her eyes.

    Bette reaches out and takes Tina’s hand in hers.

    3. Great chapter!! Why did Bette take almost 3 hrs? Considering she didn’t want to leave the hospital (That’s a little strange). I hope Tina realizes that Bette is only thinking of her and her safety, and doesn’t take the changes in a negative way. Dying to see her reaction. Post soon!

    4. course Tina will be happy and grateful cuz she knows that Bette did this all for her to easy her life at least until she is using a wheelchair and it seems Bette already decide not come back to practice for a bit only to be with Tina..ok..i cant get enough of your story i want always more and more..lol..im selfish..lol..thanks Lauren for another sad but great chapter

    8. Its amazing that for as guilty as Bette feels, she’s still going a million miles a minute. Fixing things so its easier for Tina, planing, etc. Hopefully Tina sees its all out of love and doesn’t get upset thinking its permanent. These last few chapters have been soooooooooo stressful, hopefully Tina can walk again.

    11. Lauren…thanks for the chapter. I’m not sure how Tina’s going to react to Bette’s changes to their apartment. Tina may think that Bette doesn’t think she’s going to get better… Thanks Lauren.
