    Chapter 4

     

    Tina read on:

    Ms. Bette Porter is injured after a serious car accident on the 118 Freeway West.

    LAPD was notified about the accident at 10pm last night.

    The accident happened after another car came over in the wrong direction and

    hit Ms. Porters car head on.

    She was brought to University hospital. The road was closed after the accident.

    The person in the other car only got light injuries.

     

    More to come about this story in tomorrows paper.

     

    Tina cant believe her eyes. Just then Alice walks in.

    Hey Tina, what are you doing here this time of day. Tina doesnt answer right away.

    Tina? Alice says after she sees the facial expression on Tinas face.

    Whats wrong? Alice asks.

    Tina just gives Alice the paper so she can read for herself. Alice looks from the paper and to Tina.

    Shes gonna be fine. Alice says and lay the paper back at the table and put her hand on Tinas shoulder. Then Shane walks in.
    Hey guys. Shane says all cheerily until     Alice nods her head. Shane gets a confused look on her face. She takes a seat. Alice just pushes the paper over to her so she also can read.

    Oh my. Shane says after reading it.

    Tina sits and stares at the table. Why am I feeling like this? I dont know her Tina thinks to herself. After a few minutes she gets up.

    I have to go to work. She says and leaves.

    University Hospital:

    Dana and Bettes mother is sitting in the waiting area. Bette has been in surgery for about 4 hours. Finally they see the doctor walking towards them. They both stand up.

    Ms. Porter, Im Dr. Peter Matthews. He says and reaches out his hand.

    Hi, how is my daughter? She asks nervously.

    Shes going to be fine. But her golf career may be over. Her leg was smashed pretty hard, weve done reconstruction surgery on it. Over time she will probably heal just fine. Dr. Matthews says.

    Not play golf? Thats going to be hard on her, she loves that game. Dana says.

    You are able to go see her in ten minutes. Ill send a nurse out to get you. Shes being wheeled into her room as we speak. Dr. Matthews says before he leaves.

    6. Hey I’m shocked that Bette is taking the no golf thing so well. Golf is an addiction I’m telling you;0) Plus there is the famous star turning in nobdy overnight – tough on her I’d think. Just as well she got Tina to think about:-)

    8. damm you slept already?? I haven’t even went to bed yet it’s 3am, thank god you posted again, and the injury weren’t that bad. Bette just gets to have fun driving the carts around. I need some golf lesson maybe bette could help me out. First lesson for me is how not to break anymore windows, and second could be how to get the cart to go around 50mph, the one I have just seem so slow sometimes. thrid bette needs to help me with the my swing, yep and there has to be body contact when she is teaching me

    10. When I first started reading your story, it seemed totally unrealistic….Bette being an athlete and a pro golfer. But now I’m getting into it more. Golfers need to be very disciplined and have a very good etiquette….which we all know are characteristics of Bette. I’m an athlete myself, and I know how much training goes into being a pro. So I can relate a little bit. I love new B&T beginnings and when it’s coming from a neighboring country it’s even better. I love sophies work too.
