Chapter 177
Bette, I think you need to come here. Dr. Wilson says.
Doctor, please tell me. Bette says as her voice starts to break.
Bette, I dont want to take this over the phone. Dr. Wilson replies.
Doctor, please, I already know that something is wrong. I wont be able to wait 30 minutes. Bette says.
Bette, the blood tests show that Noah has leukemia. Dr. Wilson says.
No. Is all Bette says before she starts to cry.
Bette, I need for you to bring Noah down here as soon as possible. Okay? We need to do more tests. Dr. Wilson says.
Yes. Bette replies and hangs up.
In the bathroom Noah keeps throwing up. Tina is doing her best to comfort him.
Itll be over soon sweetie. Tina says as she strokes his head and cleans his mouth.
Bette appear in the doorway. Tears cascading down her face. Tina looks up and meet Bettes eyes. She immediately takes a stronger hold of Noah.
No. Tina says even before Bette opens her mouth.
Bette walks in and kneels down beside Tina. What did Dr. Wilson say? Tina asks, feeling her own tears start to fall.
Leukemia. Bette says and put her arms around Tina and pulls her close.
This isnt happening. Tina whispers.
Danny comes in.
Mama, I have to pee. He says. Bette wipes away the tears.
Come here baby. Ill help you. Bette says and holds out her arm. Tina gets up with Noah. Danny looks at Noah as Noah is still crying.
Why is Noah crying? Danny asks.
Hes sick sweetie. Bette replies. Hes not feeling so good. We have to take him to the doctor. Bette says.
Does he hurt? Danny asks.
Yes, sweetie, hes hurting. Bette replies. Tina, we need to get him to Dr. Wilson. Bette says. Tina is cleaning Noah and getting him dressed and shes crying silently. Danny is finished. Bette lifts him up and walks over to Tina and Noah by the changing table. Bette pulls Tina into and embrace with her free hand. They both stand there for a few minutes, crying.
We should get going. Bette says after a little while. Tina wipes away the tears and continue dressing Noah. Bette dresses Danny.

Oh man. :( Tina can’t beat herself up over this. Sometimes cancer just happens for no reason. Bette and Tina need to make sure Danny stays in good health especially now because if Noah needs a bone marrow transplant, Danny will be the first candidate (I guess you can transplant it from a young kid).

How incredibly sad. I don’t like to see children sick. I hope this doesn’t cause Bette too much stress for her sake.

he LOML just had Bone Marrow done Three samples and he said that was the most painful thing that has been done to him His White cells were up to 25,000 ,I cant imagine what it would do for a small child. Poor baby, Will there ever be peace in that family. Tina can’t beat her self up over this. It happens.Thank God Danny is well thanks

It never seems to end for this family. Tina will blame herself for the rest of her life that she caused Noah’s illness. It will not matter even if Noah survives this. Thanks to speciality hospitals and great research, Noah does have a chance at survival. I hope that this is the road that this story takes. I am not sure that either lady will survive if Noah does not make it.
For God’s sake, did you really have to do this? Now they use a drug to put the kid’s into a twilight state so they don’t feel or remember the bone marrow procedure. Can’t you at least do that? They should also put in a PIC line so they won’t have to stick him all the damn time. Can’t wait until you get to the Intrathecal chemo. May be time to stop reading you.
i am so sorry for Noah Leukemia is a terrible disease! but i know that the prognosis for children with leukemia is better than adults and Noah has some points in favour cause he has a brother twin, Danny can help Noah, definitly, i really hope Noah gets better soon and Bette won’t get sick with her pregnant. plase Make Tina strong!, excellente post, a lot of drama! please give them some happy times
