Chapter 117

A few hours later, they have all finished their meals and are enjoying each others company. The seating they got was in the back in the salon booth area. Tina is leaning against Bette and holding her hand.

Bette and Tina are seated with their backs against the front door, so Tina doesn’t see who enters the restaurant, but Ryan and Sarah do. They look at each other with a little panic showing. Tina notices it right away.

“What’s wrong?” Tina asks. Bette also look at them with concerned eyes.

“Eh. Nothing.” Sarah replies.

“Oh come on, I know that look, I even remember that look on you Ryan. So spill.” Tina says.

“Nicole just walked through the front door.” Ryan says after a few moments.

“So, why panic about that?” Tina asks as if she doesn’t care.

“I thought you might get upset or something.” Sarah replies.

“No, I’m past that. She’s the one who should be upset, not me.” Tina says and looks at Bette, who smiles lovingly at her.

“Yeah, I guess you’re right.” Sarah reply and smiles.

Ryan sees that Nicole has spotted him, she waves at him, and he smiles back. She’s with some friends. She says something to them as they takes a seat at a table, then she walks towards the table with her former friend.

“She’s coming here.” Sarah says to Tina.

“Okay.” Tina replies with a smile.

“Ryan, Sarah, hi.” Nicole says.

“Hey, Nicky.” Ryan replies.

Nicole turns her attention towards Tina.

“Christina, hi. It’s been a long time.” She says and gives her a little smile.

“Hi, Nicole, yes it has. Almost 7 years.” Tina says. “I want you to meet my wife, Bette Porter.” Tina says introducing Bette to Nicole. She watches Nicole’s reaction, which is awkwardness. But she smiles and reaches out her hand to Bette.

“Nice to meet you.” She says.

“Hello, it’s nice to meet you too.” Bette replies with a wide smile.

“Christina, I know I don’t have the right to ask you anything but, would you consider having lunch with me tomorrow?” Nicole asks holding her breath.

“Yes, I would like that.” Tina says. Everyone is surprised, included Nicole.

“You would?” Nicole asks surprised.

“Yes.” Tina simply says.
