Bette sets three family goals for the rest of the week:

The following week would be devoted to the show and completing the visits. She’ll get Angelica registered the following week and hopefully she’ll be able to start right after Tina leaves for LA.

Tina will have the handy man come over the weekend to finish the list of odd jobs while she did some gardening. The painter’s work is primarily external, so he’ll be able to complete that work without her being at the house. Though she’d gotten several estimates she decided to use the same painter who had worked for them when they first moved into the house. She knew his work and he was dependable; she couldn’t be bothered with any drama on this end. She’d schedule Sonya through the house at the end of that week so it would be ready to show the last week of March. She hated the issues Robert had created on the film, but knew this is why she was earning the big bucks.

It was now Friday and both mother’s had achieved their goals for the week. Bette rewarded herself with a late night at the museum as she worked in her office through most of the Whitney After Dark event. She wanted to be able to really enjoy Kit’s visit, so she wanted no loose ends left over the weekend. Tina decided that she’d take Angelica to the beach for dinner and play time. They went to a McDonald’s drive through and ordered a Kids chicken nugget meal and salad for herself. They ate before they starting to play and Angelica was apparently quite hungry and complied with her mother’s wish. Tina loved their time on the beach, even getting bit nostalgic realizing their days of being able to do this were numbered. She kept the baby out until she knew she’d have no trouble getting her to sleep tonight. Angelica was practically asleep before Tina had her pajamas on. Tina took a long soak in the tub and enjoyed a glass of wine during her bath. She made a bowl of popcorn, grabbed a soft drink and settled on the couch to watch a mindless film: Caddyshack and prepared to laugh at the silly antics of Bill Murray and the gopher. Tina headed to bed realizing she hadn’t heard from Bette tonight. She picked up her phone and saw that Bette had called while she was in the tub.
