    Thanksgiving is finally here.

    Tina is busy at work trying to secure the final financing for the two deals she signed for the studio last month. One is a documentary and the other has potential as a big screen hit; a romantic comedy. Unlike in her other studio positions Tina has a staff of producers who can handle the day today fire fighting. She has defined her job primarily as the script scout, deal maker and banker for the projects. She holds the ultimate creative say, but has left that part of the producer job to her two staffers. Tina is able to do 80% of her job from 9-5. She still does some script reading at home and conducts some time zone sensitive conference calls in the early morning hours. Tina admits she loves her job and is enjoying being back in the movie business. She wants the production plans for these two projects established by the end of the month. She has scheduled site visits for the week just after her Thanksgiving holiday. Her flexibility will be greatest then with Angelica gone and it should be complete before so many holiday commitments and tasks come up for the staff. Hopefully they can have all of those contracts ready to roll by early January. Helena has planned a small holiday gathering for the studio, just staff, no guests or spouses. It is a way to reinforce a family feel while keeping costs in line. Tina is relieved as she won’t have to attend this event and wish Bette was with her as her date. It is scheduled the second week in December so Tina won’t even have to get a sitter for Angelica. Helena has chosen Thursday night to encourage the staff to not get too crazy as everyone is expected back to work on Friday.

    Tina is starting to really miss Bette; physically. Their nightly talks are going really well and even getting more and more flirtatious. Tina longs for the physical closeness of Bette. She doesn’t know if their sleeping arrangements will change in New York or if she’ll remain in the guest room. The prospect of having Bette here in Los Angeles, yet staying with Kit seems like pure torture to her, so she decides to take some steps to make Bette feel more welcome in there home again.

Well, well, well… I’m sure this chapter will make a lot of readers very, very happy :D It’s good to see them open to each other, and I like the idea that New York might not be just a temporary thing for them (it might just be because I love the city, but it seems like a magical background for them and their family). I had to stop and watch one of The L Word kisses while reading this just to remind myself :) of how great their kisses are. I watched the one from Season two episode 9. Hot stuff.
