Her name is Supergirl and she has quickly become the most recognizable of all the superheroes and vigilantes in the Los Angeles area. She is also in a foul mood as she arrives at the DEO base away from the city. Arriving at the base in full gear, she realizes that her sister Alex is nowhere to be found. Not even Hank Henshaw, the public persona of the last survivor of Mars, J’onn J’onzz is around. Supergirl however does find a face to address.

Supergirl: I need answers, Lucy.

Lucy Lane of the DEO turns her attention to Supergirl and can tell from the acid tone in her voice that the Girl of Steel is not in a good mood.

Lucy: Alex and Hank are on another mission.

Supergirl crosses her arms.

Supergirl: What, are they having to spy on my friends, too? What’s the deal between the DEO and SHIELD? Why does SHIELD have access to Kryptonite?

Lucy: Kryptonite?

Supergirl: Yes, Lucy! They shot Kryptonite at me last night! One of the few things that makes me feel human is my job at CatCo and I called in sick just so I can come here and get some answers. Why is SHIELD able to shoot Kryptonite bullets at me?

Lucy: There was an incident last night outside STAR Labs.

Supergirl: It was more than an incident, it was an attempted kidnapping. I thought this SHIELD group was supposed to be different from the Hydra people that infiltrated them. So what the hell is going on?

Lucy: What’s going on is the uptick in vigilante activity since the Arrow, or excuse me, the Green Arrow started using a quiver to take down criminal suspects. Before that, we had Iron Man, but he hasn’t been around much since a terrorist group destroyed his home in Malibu. The Arrow didn’t do anything about that. Heck, not even the other Avengers did anything about that. Now we have the Flash, we have the Daredevil, we have Jessica Jones sort of, we have you. We have Quake.

Supergirl: Quake? You mean Daisy?

Lucy: Yes and we deal mainly in extraterrestrial threats. Daisy Johnson is part alien.

Supergirl: Oh, great so you are monitoring her…

Lucy: It’s our job, Kara. You should know that by now.
