You Only Live Once – Why Not Enjoy It – (Chapter: 1 – Familiar Face)
Aiden and KC were lost in their own world as they laughed and nudged each other. Fond memories being retold as each new recollection began with “Hey, remember when we…”

Neither cousin realized they had entered Ashley’s Mustang, let alone had arrived at the small burger joint until Spencer ushered them out. Still laughing they found a table and ordered their meals. “So Kasey, what do you think of King High so far?” Ashley intervened before Aiden could reminisce about another event.
“It’s a nice school, people seem friendly.” Kasey nodded as their food arrived. “Yea, let’s hope you don’t get kicked outta this one!” Aiden’s remark was muffled by his laugh and half chewed chunk of burger in his mouth. Ashley raised an eyebrow in Kasey’s direction, noticing the nervous smirk on her face. ‘Kicked out? For what?’ she thought. Kasey noticed the slight glare, “Oh…Uh, that’s a story for another day.” She chuckled, fiddling with her fries.
Before any of them could speak, Aiden poked an elbow into his cousin’s forearm. “Still good with the aim?” He flicked a fry high in the air above Kasey. She simply looked up, praying her aim was still as good as it was back in the day. “Crap!” She quickly noted, plucking the dripping fry from her right eye. “You just had to dip in ketchup before you threw it didn’t you?” Ashley and Spencer burst out in laughter as Aiden had already begun clutching his sides. The girl simply shrugged and smiled sheepishly as she cleaned off the ketchup from her cheek. ‘Great first impression spaz.’ She thought, smiling to herself.
“Thanks for that Aid, I see you haven’t changed.” Kasey laughed, shaking her head slightly. “Neither have you… I have to admit, I miss the crazy shit we used to pull.” Aiden took another bite from his burger while Spencer raised a questioning eyebrow in Kasey’s direction. “Oh yea? Like what?” ‘Shit! Thanks Aid, let’s talk about my misbehaving side right off the bat…’ The short brunette thought to herself as Spencer awaited an answer.
“Aw man, one of my favorites was…well let’s start with the fact that we baked a couple dozen chocolate chip cookies one night except genius here,” he pointed to KC “used exlax chocolate instead.” Kasey choked on a fry trying not to laugh as she remembered that April Fools prank. This one wasn’t bad, Kasey had to admit. They’ve done worse.
