You Can Put The Blame On Me – (Chapter: It's like I'm taking 5 steps forward and 10 steps back, tryin to get ahead of the game, but I can't seem to get it on track)

“Look, I don’t have any money. I do have bills to pay.” I said as I slid my hands into my pockets.

“Come on, you have to have something. A credit card from daddy, maybe?” I shook my head from left to right. “Give me your cell phone.”

“What? What makes you even think I have a cell phone?”

“Maybe because everyone has one now days. Hand it over.” I stared at her in disbelief. I guess I took too long because she forced me against the nearest brick wall. It was cold, even through my clothing. “I said hand it over!” She paused as her eyes scanned me from head to toe before smiling an evil, menacing smile. “Unless you want me to pat you down, which I have no objections against”

“You’re sick.” I said in disgust.

She held the gun to my eye level. “Do I need to remind you that I have a gun?” I shook my head again. “Good, now give me anything of value that you have.”

    “I told you I don’t have anything!”

She rolled her eyes and started reaching her hands in my pockets. She took my cell phone first and put it in her pocket. She pushed her hand into my pockets once again, feeling around in search for anything I could have. I was uncomfortable with her hands being so close to my body. She pulled out the money I had just taken from the ATM and put that in her pocket as well. “Do you get joy out of robbing people?” I asked causing her to stop.

Her eyes looked up at me. They glistened slightly in the light and I could see softness in them. I knew she wasn’t that type of person, the type of person who robs someone, hurts them, forces them to do something. “I get money, and things that I can sell for money. I’d say I enjoy it.”

“Don’t lie. I can see it in your eyes. You don’t like it.” I said.

She pushed her arm against my neck as she forced me harder against the wall. I struggled to breath. “Look, you don’t fucking know me. Don’t try to pretend like you do, alright?” She said angrily before lessening her amount of strength against my neck. She looked me up and down again. “Do you have a name?” I stayed silent, looking anywhere but her eyes. She waved the gun again. “What’s your name?” She repeated.
