Ashley: "I thought Dawn made him disappear."

June: "He did for a little while anyway. It’s hard to make some one disappear when they have hundreds of thousands of dollars."

Kyla: "Yeah..that’s true."

Ashley: "I just hope somone recognized him

June: "I hate to tell you this but they let him go."

Asheley: "What?!"

June: "The police said that he had the cleanest record of all of the men and that to ruin his life would’ve been stupid."

Ashley: "Are you fucking kidding me?!"

June: "Unless theres a witness, he’s walking."

Kyla: "And once again the government has failed the people."

Ashley felt a vibration in her pocket. She took out her cell and read the name on the front screen.

ashley: "Guys quiet it’ Spencer."

She opened up the phone.

Ashley: "Hey Spence what’s up?"

Spencer; "This may be the last time I get to talk to you Ash."

Ashley: "Huh?"

Spencer; "*sniff* I’m with my brother Clay. We came down here to be witnesses."

Ashley: "Spencer baby what are you talking about?"

Spencer was sitting on a bench at the county police station. She was on the pay-phone. Small sobs weakened her voice.

Spencer: "Ashley. You and I both knew this was coming."

Ashley: "What baby? Where are you? Are you sick? You sound-"

Spencer: "Ash listen to me okay? I’m..I’m at the police station. I had to tell them-"

Ashley: "What?! Spencer no you didn’t-"

Spencer: "I did. I had to. Ashley he was just going to do it to more people. I had to save other women from him. Even if it meant sacrificing my own freedom for a little while. Besides, Clay can get him for that murder earlier today. Ashley I’m sorry. But I have to face my consequences. My past just caught up with me."

Ashley was starting to cry.

Ashley: "Spencer how could you? Why I-I-"

Spencer: "Ashley. My times almost up now. I’m going to have to stay here until my court date. Then I’ll be my own little jail cell."

Ashley: "No Spencer! *sob*  Let me bail you out! Let me pay your way out plese Spence don’t do this-"

Spencer: "It’s only for a little while Ashley. Only a little while."

Ashley: "Spencer?

The phone clicked.
