I woke up the next day to the sound of the TV on in my bedroom, maybe I left it on when I drifted to sleep. I turned around in my bed searching for the remote to turn it off.
“Morning.”
“AGHHH!” And with that I rolled and fell right off my bed. “How long have you been here? Who let you in?”
“Not too long, and your mum did. So are you just gunna lie on your floor all day or are you gunna come and give me a proper welcome?” And with that I jumped to my feet and ran over to Spencer and smothered her in a hug.
“Spence why are you here so early? I’m not supposed to come meet you for another few hours yet.”
“I was up, and couldn’t wait, so here I am. And besides it’s not even early, you’re just lazy.” She said with a grin.
“Well Spencer Carlin, what would you like to do today?”
“Anything, so long as it’s with you.”
“Perfect.” With that I threw on some clothes and Spencer and I went and rented some DVDs and picked up some popcorn and just sat in my bedroom all day talking and playing and watching some films. Later on in the night Spencer decided she was going to stay, which was pretty much a given anyways, so we changed into our pjs.

“Feed me!”
“Oh gosh, it’s that time again already huh?”
“Yep. Food please.” She smiled. So I grabbed a handful of popcorn and squashed it into her mouth, which inevitably led to a full blown popcorn fight.
“After all of that I really want some popcorn.” I said to her.
“Come and get it then.” Spencer said as she picked up a piece and placed it in between her lips. I thought I might as well so I crawled over to her spot on the floor and placed my lips lightly on hers as I grabbed the popcorn between my own lips.
“Best popcorn ever.” I said as I sat back down where I came from.
“I have to agree. But seriously, feed me?” She pleaded with a pout and those gaping eyes that I couldn’t resist. So I ordered a few pizzas, because for a small girl she can sure eat a lot.

After the food was finished we settled down on my bed and put on another film.
“Ooo Spence I almost forgot!” I said as I pulled out her birthday card from the drawer in my bedside table. She opened it and her eyes lit up and a huge grin came across her face.
“Aww Ash thank you so much! I love Paolo Nutini, and I love you too!” She said as she lunged across the bed to hug me.
“Well great, it’ll be a good gig. Now sleep time because this movie is shit.”
“Agreed.” So we lay down on my bed as usual and I wrapped my arm around her waist from behind, so glad that I was with her again, so glad that I could just hold her, and I began to sing to her just like always, while my fingers danced across her stomach underneath her shirt.

I finished singing to her, and placed a kiss on her shoulder when I thought she was sleeping and soon drifted to sleep myself.
