Spencer pulled into her apartment parking lot. turning off the engine and looking at her cell phone. ’7 missed calls’ she clicked view and saw the same name on all 7. carmen. carmen. carmen. carmen. carmen. carmen. carmen. closing her phone she got out of her car and started walking to the elevator and pressed 8 to her aparment floor. unlocking the door she walked in to soo feel a soft, warm, furry little body rub against her left leg. smiling she knelt down and picked up the baby kitten who meowed at her and gave her those adorable puss in boots eyes that said, ‘love me, feeeed me’ she gently rubbed the kitten ears and cooed at him, "calm down pennz let me find your food."

she finally located it in the closet and fed the eager kitten when the phone rang, not glancing at the caller id first she answered, "hello? spence here."

"spencer, i tried calling you."

"what do you want carmen? i told you to leave me alone."

"i can’t spence. i love you."

"you say love me, but the truth is that you don’t carmen. if you really loved me you wouldn’t have done what you did last night."

"spencer it didn’t mean anything to me. i was jus sad and lost. and you weren’t there."

"carmen save it. i heard the exact same words from my mother when she was cheating on my dad. and i’m not going to let it slide."

"spencer come on we both know that it’s already forgiven."

"you know what carmen? no it’s not. it was our 6 month anniversary and i come over to surprise you and all you could say when i caught you was, ‘oops, i’m sorry’?"

"spencer please let me come over."

"no. leave me alone. go back to whatever her name is," she slammed the phone down into the reciever scaring pennz who had walkked into the room at the sound of his mommy’s voice. spencer smiled and picked him up softly petting him and carried him into the bedroom and snuggled next to him slowly falling asleep.
