Time Doesn’t Exist. Clocks Exist. – (Chapter: Ch.17: Spencer, Meet the Ugly Blue Gown)
Reciprocating the small nod Ashley sent his way, he handed her a thin blue papery material and walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.
As soon as she heard the click of the door, Ashley reached for the hem of her shirt and pulled it above her head.
“Oh, wow, um, sorry, I’ll just, uh, yeah,” The blonde fumbled around for a moment before spinning herself around and giving her forehead a few good smacks with her palm.
Ashley let out a small chuckle, “It’s okay, Spence. You don’t have to turn away. That is, unless you don’t want to look.”
“What? No, that’s not – no, of course I do, I just – I’m good. Thanks.”
Unable to see the amused look on the brunette’s face, Spencer was mentally chastising herself for being so…Spencer, until she heard another chuckle coming from behind her.
“Do you enjoy making me feel like an idiot?”
“Mmm, well, let’s see…Yes. Yes I do.” Even without seeing the girl, Spencer could almost hear the smile in her words.
The sound of clothes and paper rustling permeated throughout the room until it was silent, leaving the blonde waiting for Ashley’s cue. A few quiet moments passed and then a timid voice spoke out.
“Spence?”
“Hm?”
“I, uh… I’m scared.”
With this Spencer turned around and faced the brunette and it took everything in her not to either laugh or cry at the sight in front of her. Ashley was sitting on the edge of the table donned in a blue paper gown that was so stiff and unflattering that she might as well have been wearing a cardboard box. Her head was down, chin touching chest, and she was fiddling with her fingers, clasping and unclasping her hands.
Spencer took the few steps it took to reach the bed and slowly put one of her hands on top of Ashley’s, stopping the girl from her nervous habit. The blonde then slid her fingers to intertwine them with the tan ones she was comforting and began rubbing her thumb in circles on the back of Ashley’s hand.
“Me too, Ash.”
Spencer was brought out of her daydream by a soft voice.
“So, how long do you think we can stay out here until Aiden gets worried?”

I don’t want Ashley to die. This story is just too sad for words. I don’t know what to say, except great update.
