“It is not ‘nothing,’ Ashley!”

”Come on Spencer, it’s not that big of a deal,” I rolled my eyes.

”Yes it is Ashley!  You were suspended, again.  And it’s not bad enough that you are on your last chance, but the fact that you got suspended for something so… pointless and stupid!”

When the task involves embarrassing Aiden, it always makes it ok.

”Why was it so important for you to stalk Aiden and plant dildos on him?  Why did you need to place a note of his butt that read ‘If you don’t want to try for a hole-in-one in this hole, feel free to take a shot on the hole up north’?  Was it necessary to cover his locker with nude photos of men fucking men?  Was it worth it?”

I bit my lip trying to hold back my laughter.

”That is a big deal Ashley!”

I composed myself, “No it’s not, Spence.”

She crossed her arms and gave me a withering glare, “Then this isn’t either.”

I then watched silently as my girlfriend stalked away, straight up to some random guy, and kissed him.  It lasted less then a second and she left the courtyard without a glance my way.

I clenched my hands into fists and was prepared to go beat the crap out of the guy who was now grinning like he won the lotto, but then a better idea struck me.

I slipped my sunglasses onto my face, turned abruptly, and made my way to my car.

”I’m really sorry about earlier.  I was just mad and trying to prove a point.  I admit I went about it the wrong way though.  I’m really sorry Ash.”

I kissed her on the forehead, “I understand and it’s fine.”

She eyed me suspiciously, “Your taking this well, maybe a little too well.”

I smiled, “Love conquers all.”

That, as I had predicted, allowed her to forget all her worries as she kissed me quickly before turning back to her brother’s basketball game.

To say Spencer was surprised to see me here would be an understatement.  Sure, I had promised her I’d be here, but after today, she hadn’t expected me to still show.
