“Fine, but only because I’m a sucker for gorgeous a blonde haired teenaged mothers, okay?” Ashley flirted unknowingly. After she said she realized what had come out of her mouth and she only hoped that Haley hadn’t noticed. To Ashley’s relief, Spencer didn’t appear to take notice of anything seeing as to how she was just staring off into space. “Hello? Earth to Spencer.” Once Spencer blinked her eyes quickly and shook her head to come out of her own world, Ashley responded to her, “Wow, who is the zoner now?”

“Sorry. Just thinking about the questions I’m gonna ask you.” Spencer quickly covered. However, Ashley could tell that there was something more there seeing as to how Spencer could not meet Ashley’s eyes. “So anyway, you game or what?”

“Sure. I guess so. Your little speech made me feel bad so I decided to play along. Okay, I’m ready. Shoot. What’s your first question.” Ashley asked as she braced herself for some really deep question about her life or something. The question she got was not one she had been expecting.

“Why is mac-a-roni and cheese your favorite meal.” Spencer asked in all seriousness when she returned her gaze to Ashley.

“Oh, that’s easy. Well, when me and Madison were little, her mom died in a car accident. Well, we were both devastated because her mother was pretty much like my mother also. Even though I spent most of my time with Aiden and Sarah, Madison was my best girl friend so I went over there to play Barbie’s and stuff. So anyway, after her mother passed away, her father stayed at home for a while. Well, all he knew how to cook was mac-a-roni and cheese pretty much. Well, I ate it so much that I just eventually loved it.” Ashley finished as she gazed off into space. That had been the first time she had thought about Aiden and Madison since their fight at school.

“So you and Madison were close?” Spencer asked not completely oblivious to the fact that the topic of Aiden and Madison was one that was going to be tough for Ashley. Spencer sort of had an idea of what was going on there but she didn’t know for sure all the details. This is where she was directing all of her questions toward.
