Tonight was no different and I was glad to have it all for me. I was finishing my last lap, my fingers touched the wall and I stood up. I wiped the water from my face and as I opened my eyes I was greeted by dark brown ones staring back into mine. I kicked away from the wall as a surge of adrenaline fear rushed through.

“Jesus! Ashley…what are you doing here?” I asked treading water. She was laying on her stomach with her head propped in her hands at the pool’s edge. I swam back over and rested my arms on the pool lip. Our eyes were even with each other. I was glad to be looking into them this time.

“Sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you. Your grandma said you were here. You are a beautiful swimmer you know.” She said softly reaching a hand out brush water drops off my jaw. It felt like months since I had felt her touch. To have her here looking back at me like she had missed me too was reassuring.

“Thank you. I thought you weren’t going to be back till tomorrow?” I asked.

“Yeah I didn’t think I was either. We finished up early with business for the label and then last couple days were spent with my mom’s lawyers trying to weasel everything they could out of my dad’s estate. But I am kind of happy that we have everything settled with that gold digging bitch. As soon as we were done jumped on the first flight I could get.” Ashley replied.

“I am glad you are back. I kind of missed not seeing you.” I said shyly. She was still letting her hand trace my jaw line.

She smiled. It was so fucking adorable when her nose curled up slightly. “Only kind of missed me?”

“Yeah. You know just a touch” I replied nonchalantly shrugging my shoulders.

“Well I guess I might have missed you a little too.” She said splashing a little water into my face.

“You better be careful…I have a whole pool of water here at my disposal. And I would love nothing more than to see you soaking wet.” I said with a warning.
