    Ashley smiled, “I guess so, but don’t go too far.”

    Spencer smiled back at her, “I won’t.” She looked on the floor to find her jeans to grab the phone out of the front pocket.  The screen read “Home”.  She flipped open the phone to answer.

    “Hello?”

    “Spencer Carlin!  Where are you?!  I have been calling you and leaving you messages all afternoon.  Where is my car?!” Paula shouted.

    “Mom, calm down,” Spencer said sitting back down on the bed.  Spencer pulled her ear away from the phone as Paula continued yelling.  She just didn’t want to hear it.  After having such a great day with Ashley, the thought of her family drama was spoiling her love high.  Ashley sat up and began rubbing circles on her back and lightly kissing her shoulder trying to comfort her.  She knew that Spencer had given up a lot to make her day and night spectacular.  

    “Mom –  Mom –  stop –… listen –”   Spencer pulled her ear away from the phone again.  “Ashley, I can’t get a word in.  She’s so upset.”

    Suddenly she could hear Paula screaming overhearing what she had just said, “Ashley! Did you say Ashley?  Have you been with Ashley all this time?  Where are you?  I can’t believe this Spencer.  Your father is furious.  Where are you?”

    “Mom, I’m at Christine’s.  You know where that is.  I know that you do.  So there’s no need to worry.” Spencer had let her anger taunt her mother a little.

    Spencer put the phone on speaker.  She wanted to hold Ashley in her arms while her world fell apart.  She never wanted to let go of the love.   Ashley wrapped her tightly kissing and rubbing her forehead.  The girls cuddled under the covers knowing they had a short time left.   Ashley felt so bad for her.

    “You’re at Christine’s? Spencer, come home right now!” the phone speaker blared with Paula’s angry voice giving Ashley a chance to see what Spencer was going through.

    “Mom, I can’t.  I’m spending the night here.”

    “What! You are absolutely not!  Look Spencer I am not so cruel that I don’t understand.  I know that you think that you are in love with this girl.  And I know you wanted to fix things with her so badly…”

    4. Intense drama! I am so loving the way you have written Spencer & Ashley’s deep love for one another…it’s enchanting. I hope Arthur sees how much Spence & Ash are in love and doesn’t try to keep them apart…that quite simply would be heartbreaking especially with them just getting back together.
