Super duper crime fighting good two shoes and her badass master criminal. – (Chapter: Chapter Four)

Spencer took a deep breathe and looked at her brother, “I met someone.”

“Yes! I knew the cheerleader thing was a little out of your taste, but I knew once you got to…”

    “No Glen, not Sherry.”

Glen hit the brakes of the car, “Who?”

    “Her name is Ashley.”

    ******

I opened the car door and dreamily walked back into the house. I can’t stop replaying the whole thing in my head. Spencer was standing right in front of me with a gun pointed at me half the time.

“I’m going to make you some dinner.” Kyla walked into the kitchen.

I think I just agreed to Kyla making me dinner or thinner. I don’t know whether to be traumatized by the experience or to the happy I got to meet her. She doesn’t seem as scary; I mean she has a shady record but her eyes, they make me swoon. Before I can process anything else, Kyla sets down a plate of pasta in front of me.

After reluctantly eating the pasta, I walked up the stairs and into my room. I opened my laptop, after having a sudden inspiration to write some more of my thesis.

    ******

Glen closely followed Spencer as she made her way through her loft, and she went into her bedroom.

“Ashley freaking Davies! She’s a DEB. A DEB!”

“Are you broken? That’s the hundredth time you’ve said it.”

    “How can you like her?”

    “She’s different.”

    “Oh, different,” Glen said mockingly.

“Shut it, “Spencer grabs a brown leather bag.

    “Where are you going?”

“I’m going to the DEBS headquarters.”

Spencer charges passed Glen and walks to the front door.

    “Don’t go Spencer.”

    “Why the hell not?”

    “She’s straight!”

“We’ll see about that. Come on,” She waves her brother over.

They get inside the car, and Spencer put her key into the ignition. Glen kept staring at his sister.

    “What are you looking at?”

“I’m going to tell you so when this blows up in your face.”

“Thanks,” She rolled her eyes. The phone in Spencer’s pocket started vibrating.

    “Hello?”

    “This is Sherry.”

    “Oh…” Spencer cringed, “What’s up?”

    “Can I see you again?”

“Sorry…uh…I’m not ready for a relationship right now.”

    “I don’t want a relationship.”

“Seriously, it’s not you it’s me. I’m just not interested.”

“You. Will. Die. Alone.” Sherry hung up on her.

Spencer was left holding her phone with her mouth open, “Bitch…”

    *******

I was trying to fall asleep but nothing was working. I just need to relax. I close my eyes and try to think of happy thoughts, like…ice cream…music…puppies…and Spencer’s eyes. No, no Spencer’s eyes. Bad Ashley. I let out a big sigh and open my eyes to find familiar eyes looking down at me.

I jump out of bed, “What are you doing here, Spencer?”

    “I came to see you.”

    “What are you doing here?”

“Uh, to help you on your report,” Spencer takes a step closer to me.

“What are you doing here?” I take a step back and collide with my dresser.

“What is wrong with everyone being broken today?”

    “Huh?”

    “Never mind, get dressed.”

    “I am dressed.”

“In pajamas…” Spencer sighs, “Fine, you can go like that. Now, get a move on.” She pointed at the door.

“I’m not going any where with you.”

“I didn’t want to do this.” Spencer takes out a small crossbow.

I started laughing, “Are you the slayer or something?”

“Ha. Ha. Funny, it’ll hurt one way or another.”

I bent down to grab my jacket, “Yes, S.”

Spencer shook her head, “Obsessed with the show huh?”

I walk out of my room and down the stairs. I can feel her eyes watching me.
We start walking through the front yard.

    “Ash?”

I heard the crossbow shoot; I turned around quickly and found my sister stuck against a tree, via an arrow in her jacket.

“Hey, whoever did this is so dead!” Kyla made her way out of her jacket and to confront the one who slayed her jacket.

Oh shit, this is not going to end well.

Kyla walked up in front of Spencer, “Ah!”

Once I was able to shut Kyla up, I saw a car pull up in front of us. I sat in the passenger side seat with Spencer now in the driver’s seat, and Kyla and Glen are sitting in the back.
