I’m so exhasted from practice. Throwing my backpack on the floor, I plop down on the bed. My eyes lids are begging to close and I give in. I’m to tired to fight it. Almost as soon as they shut, I feel sleep invade my body.

Walking to 7th period, I’m completely alone. I’m guessing I’m gonna be late. There is no one around and the teachers have already closed their doors. I’m about to shift gear into a jog, when I’m pulled into the bathroom. I turn around, only to be met by piercing blue eyes. I know those eyes anywhere.

"Hey Ashley."

"H-h-hi Spencer."

"I got a present for you."

"Really?

She nodds. "Just for you."

"What is it?"

She leans in a pecks me on the check. Pulling back she has a smile on her face, mirroring mine.

"Well thanks."

"Your welcome."

Deciding to take a chance, I renact her movements from a only seconds ago. As I near her face, she pulls back. Oh no. I knew I shouldn’t have done that. She backs out all the way out of the bathroom and just like that she’s gone. I’m left in the bathroom alone alone. Just because I got the gutts to do what I’ve longed for ever since I can remember. I ruined everything.

Abruptly shooting my eyes open, I realize it was all a dream. Of course it was. She would never kiss me. Turning to lay on my back, I sigh. Why must my life be this way. Some may say I chose for it to be like this. But I never asked to feel this way. I never asked for it be be her. Why can’t I can just like someone who I acually have a chance with. I’m shaken out of my thoughts by my sister’s yelling.

"Ashley!" Does every one love my name that much?

"What do you want Kyla?"

She busts though my door, not literly, and running over to my bed jumping on it. I sit up and face her. "It’s 6:30, sleepy head!"

"Yeah and…"

"Get up!"

"Oh please stop screaming." I cringe, rubbing my temples.

She rolls her eyes. "Just get ready." You know I should really be nice to her. After all she one of Spencer’s best friends.

Here I sit yet again. Admiring her. I swear, every day she’s even more gorgeous than the last. Sometimes I just sit and wonder what could I say to get a conversation with her. It’s not like we never talk. Just not as much as I want. We share one or two words most days, but I need more. She’s almost addictive. The more we talk, the more I want.

"Today we are going to do something different. Every one partner up and read review chapter 7." I look at Spencer, curious as to who she’ll pick. Surprisingly, she turns to me. Our gazes meet and she smiles.

"Wanna be partners?" Oh hell yes!

"Sure." Madison comes up behind Spencer and sighs as she notices that I’m already taken. She walks straight past me and goes to Sherry. I don’t know why. That girls a bitch.

"So who reads first?"

"You can go first if you want."

"Ok then." She averts her eyes to the science book and starts to read. I try to pay attention, but I can’t. Like always. All I hear are my screaming thoughts saying, ‘Go for it!’ and all I see is her. I guess she finishes her part and looks back up at me. Wow that was fast. "What?"

"Um, nothing." I break eye contact, diverting my attention on anything elses.

"Are you sure?"

"Yup."

"Ok." She doesn’t sound convinced, but lets it go. "Your turn." I nod in understandment and immediately start to read, trying hard not to met her eyes.
