SPENCER’S P.O.V.
Aiden and Emily went home and I’m here in my room. I SO do not want to call that girl. I reached in my pocket and pulled out the number and just stare at it. Ashley peeks through my door.
Ashley: “Did you call her yet?” she asked in a peppy tone.
I shake my head no and she walks in and plops down on my bed. She picks up my phone and hands it to me. I look at the phone, then up at her and she gestures for me to take it, so I do. I’m not good at this. Then I don’t really want to call so that’s another thing stopping me. Plus, I haven’t dated anyone since Aiden. The guys were always the ones to make the first move, so I’m all nervous and my thoughts are all jumbled. I don’t see how guys can do this.
Ashley: “Having a little trouble?” I roll my eyes at her. She snatches the number and the phone away from me.
Spencer: “Ashley, don’t!” I say, trying to get the phone back.
She blocks me with her one arm and dials the number. I attempt to tackle her, we fall on the floor and she keeps giggling. I see nothing funny about this situation.
Ashley: “Stop! Spencer stop it!”
Spencer: “No!” I say trying to reach for the phone. She holds it back.
Ashley: “It’s ringing…”
Spencer: “Ash I’m serious! Hang up now!!!”
Alison: “Hello?”
Ashley and I quickly look at each other blankly.
Spencer: “Hang up.” I mouth. Ashley shakes her head no.
Alison: “HELLO?!” she said, sounding annoyed.
I reach for the phone, aggressively. Ashley stops me, putting her hand on my forehead.
Alison: “I can hear you breathing. I’m gonna hang up!” she said. She sounds very annoyed now.
My eyes bulge out as I see Ashley putting the phone to her ear.
Ashley: “Don’t!” she says into the phone. I can’t hear Alison talking anymore.
Ashley: “The girl from the mall.” she says into the phone.
Ashley: “Her name is Spencer.” Ashley shakes her head yes and smiles while looking at me.
Ashley: “Yea, she’s a little shy.” I wave my hands no and shake my head at Ashley.
