"So what are you doing over here all alone? I’ve never seen you around before."

"Well i’m new, just moved here from Ohio". Spencer finally gets into her phone to check for messages, but to her dismay there is nothing to check. "GOD!" Spencer shouts as she shuts her phone.

"Is everything alright?" Ashley says concerned

"It’s nothing i’m just…i’m just expecting someone to call and it doesn’t seem to be happening." Spencer says as she throws her phone in her purse.

"Anything I can do to make you feel better?" Ashley says as she puts her hand on Spencers arm

Spencer almost melts at the feel of Ashleys skin against hers. She’s new at school and nobody quite knows that she’s gay. If the brunette knew that she wouldn’t be touching her arm so lovingly.

"Coming over here was enough" Spencer says sweetly as she looks into Ashleys eyes

Ashley is taken back by the look she’s getting from Spencer. It’s the same look Aiden gives her right before they make out, only sexier. Ashley doesn’t know why she’s so ok with this look coming from a girl she just met, but she doesn’t reject it, assuming it’s just friendly.

"Hey why don’t you call me later, you know… if you ever want to talk or anything" Ashley says as she twirls her fingers.

"I’d like that." Spencer says as she pulls out her phone. "Here, put your number in". Spencer hands the phone to Ashley. Suddenly the phone begins to ring. The caller ID reads ‘Haley <3′ along with a picture of her and Spencer kissing.

Spencer grabs the phone and answers quickly trying to hide the obvious from Ashley. "Haley…." she speaks softly

Ashley becomes freaked out, and gets up. "I gotta get going Spencer."

"Spencer puts her hand over the phone. "I’m sorry, I will explain later."

"It’s no problem, really. I’ll see you around."

Spencer looks at Ashley confused still wishing she wasn’t walking away. It’s inevitable that Ashley saw the picture of Spencer and Haley and that was why she was leaving. The brunette fades out of sight and Spencer returns to her phonecall.

"Back so soon?" Aiden says

"Yeah"

"Did you find out anything about the new girl?"

Ashley takes a sip of her cherry pepsi, "Nothing special" she says lying. Ashley did find out alot about Spencer but was still confused about it all. She brushes off the subject with Aiden and goes back to lunch.

Spencer sits in class trying to stay awake. The conversation with Haley didn’t go well, and it’s only got her more upset than ever. But surprisingly Spencer is thinking about Ashley and remembers that she has her number in her phone. She quickly sends her a text message.

‘Hey it’s Spencer’ she writes. She sends the message and waits for a reply.

Time goes by and Spencers phone never goes off, meaning Ashley didn’t text back. In a way it upset Spencer but she also knew that she had freaked her out early. Just then the bell rings, and school is over.
