"Ok, Glen, you’re driving like a madman. What’s up?" Glen sighed, glanced at Spencer, and placed a comforting hand on her knee.
   "Yesterday during lunch I was walking around and happened to see something…" Spencer waited for a continuation that never came.
   "Seen what?"
   "Aiden, he uh, got mad and he uh, hit her Spencer. Hit her hard. She fell to the ground. I have a feeling it wasn’t the first time and it won’t be the last time."
   "He what? No, no,no.." Spencer shook her hand in disbelief. "Not Ashley. No, someone couldn’t do that to her. No way. She’s…she’s perfect. How could someone intentionally hurt her? How? Why, Glen, why her?"
   "I dont know Spence. I dont know."
   "She’s headed over there now, isn’t she?"
   "Yes, but so are we. He’s not laying another finger on her."
   "What are we going to do?"
   "I don’t know yet."
   "I won’t let him hurt her again. I won’t. I can’t. She means everything to me, Glen."
   "I know. Don’t worry we’ll take care of it." Glen grabbed her hand reassuringly.

Ashley really wanted to stall but she knew that would only make her punishment worse. She decided to drive the speed limit, no speeding and no driving slowly. She had her radio blasting. It drowned out her scared sobs and kept her from thinking about what was going to happen once she got to Aiden’s. She was about five minutes away when she could have sworn that she saw Glen’s car about a block behind her’s. She just shrugged it off and figured she was hallucinating. She pulled into Aiden’s drive with a heavy sigh. She got out and slowly walked to the door. Before she could even raise a hand to knock, the door swung open and she was quickly pulled inside.

   "Bout damn time." Aiden hissed. His nostrils were flared and his eyes looked like the pits of hell.

Glen and Spencer just turned the corner of Aiden’s streets. Spencer saw Ashley being angrily pulled inside.
   "Oh my god, Ashley." Without even thinking she opened the door and jumped.
   "Spencer!" Glen reached out for her. They were going nearly 55 MPH and she jumped out of the car. Her feet hit the ground and then she fell over, tumbling across and into the grass. She obviously couldn’t feel the pain or she was just ignoring it because she quickly got up and practically flew towards Aiden’s house. Glen nearly crashed because he was so amazed. Spencer reached Aiden’s door when Glen parked behind Ashley’s car. Spencer couldn’t get the door open because it as locked. Glen pounded furiously against it.
