    Ch. 28

    Spencer’s POV:

                I came to dread microbiology. Lauren wouldn’t keep her hands off of me- I couldn’t wear skirts anymore, since she would let her hand creep up and down my thigh, and I’d have to always shift away or tell her to stop it. She was relentless, and I couldn’t exactly shove her hand off of me either-she was just as strong as Ashley was. I didn’t tell Ash because I didn’t want her to fight Lauren. Shouldn’t Ashley have a chance to try to acquaint herself with one of her rare kin out there? I don’t want to ruin this for her, but Lauren is getting to be a serious problem. That girl cannot take no for an answer. Typical Davies. “I know you want it, Spencer.” She breathed into my ear today. “You wanna feel my body against yours, on top of you, making you feel so good the way Ashley never could…” “You’re wrong. Nobody can make love to me the way Ash can.” I said sternly. “Can you cut it out, Lauren, before I call campus security on you?” “Stop playing hard to get, Spencer. I know you that you want me. I’m better than Ashley at everything- school, sex, love.” “And what would you know about love?” I retorted. “If you ask me, all you know is that you want to get in other peoples’ pants, and so far you haven’t been all that successful at all, so can you please just leave me alone? I’m not yours, Lauren.” I got up and left the class early, leaving her stunned. “Just watch, Spencer.” I heard her mutter under her breath. “I’ll make you mine.” The hairs on my neck stood up a little hearing her say that, but I shook it off. I was safe in Ashley’s arms no matter what; she would never let go of me.

     

                “Lauren’s in my microbiology class, Ash.” I said later on that day as I cuddled right next to Ash on the sofa. “WHAT?!” Ashley yelled, nearly choking on the banana she was eating. “That’s it! I’m going to kill her! I don’t care if she’s ‘family’!” Ashley got up and started storming around. “Wait, Ash!” I said, grabbing her by the arm. “Calm down. I don’t want you and Lauren to hate each other. She’s your family, but… she’s a little bit…touchy.” I admitted. “TOUCHY? WAIT, you mean touchy as in touchy-feely?” Ashley growled. “I’m going to wring her neck. Spencer, nobody, family or not, touches you in that way besides me.” I sighed, stroking Ashley’s hand gently with my thumb. “Ash, I think you guys should try to bond. She’s related to you. God knows you could use a little more family interaction.” “Spencer, anyone who tries to molest you and break us apart is in a lifelong enemy of mine, and second of all, why are you trying to defend Lauren? You know how mad that makes me? Spencer, it sounds like you want her attention!” “If I wanted her attention, what makes you think I’d even tell you this, Ashley?!” I screamed in frustration. “Are you accusing me of wanting to cheat on you?” I asked in disbelief. “Spencer, I-“ “You know what, Ashley? Sorry if I’m trying to help you establish a connection with your own family. Remind me not to care about your relations with them next time.” I said angrily. “No, Spence, wait.” She said, scrambling off the couch. I pulled myself out of her grip and closed the door behind me. I needed to cool off. I just couldn’t believe Ash would think for a second that I’d do something like that. Lauren was hot and all, but that doesn’t mean I want to cheat on Ashley. If every good looking girl that came by made me want to cheat on her, we’d have a serious problem on our hands.
