At the Carlin mansion, there is a visitor that has just rung the doorbell. The nanny, Phyllis opens it and greets Aiden, a wealthy heir to his father’s oil company.

"Aiden! What brings you here today?" Arthur greeted the young man.

"I’m here to talk to you about Spencer." Aiden said as he sat down.

"What about her?" Arthur asked suspiciously, protective of his young daughter.

"As we both know, you’re daughter is a very beautiful, intelligent young woman, and I would like to know if it would be alrighCarlint if I went out on a date with her." Now, Arthur had strict rules about Spencer and dating, and one of those rules was that she was not allowed to date until she was 15, and right now she was a year too young. But Arthur liked Aiden, he was good friends with his parents.

"Aiden, my boy. Spencer is only 14, she’s very young. But I’ll make you a deal, if you come to our dinner party tonight, and woo her over, I will let you." Arthur told him.

"Okay, Mr.Carlin" Aiden smugly agreed, very sure of himself.

Madison and Ashley, in Ashley’s room.

"Hey guess who’s having a huge dinner party tonight?" Madison asked Ashley.

"Who?"

"The Carlin’s. We should go." Madison suggested

"So we can get caught and thrown out? Uh, no." Ashley said

"Oh, c’mon, there are going to be so many people there, no one will notice us." Madison begged. "Plus, Sam’s gonna be there, so you should go and once you see her among every other girl, you’ll forget all about her."

"Fine, I’ll go, but I highly doubt everything you just said." Ashley gave in.

The Carlin House

"Phyllis, where the heck is Spencer?!" Paula asked, having not seem her daughter all day.

"I don’t know, Spencer! You’re mother wishes to speak with you" Phyllis said as she called Spencer

"What, mom?" Spencer asked as she came down the stairs

"Phyllis, not to be rude, but can I speak to Spencer in private?" Paula asked her.

"Sure." Phyllis said as she left the room, leaving Spencer unhappy because Spencer knew excactly what her mother wanted to talk to her about.

"Spencer, do you ever think about getting married?" Paula asked her daughter.

"No, mother, I dream not of it." Spencer said simply.

"Well, did you know that that adorable Aiden boy asked your father if he could take you out on a date?" Paula told Spencer as Spencer cringed, her mother didn’t notice. "Do you like him?" Paula asked

"Um, not really." Spencer told her mother, not wanting to hurt her feelings. Paula was about to say something until she was informed by Phyllis that the guests had arrived, and she quickly went to the foyer to greet them.

Madison, Ashley, and Glen, on their way to the party

"Ashley, are you gonna dance with anyone tonight?" Glen asked his friend.

"No, no no, I can’t dance." She said, slightly embarassed

"C’mon, find yourself a good one and dance with her!"Glen urged

"Seriously Ash." Madison added

"Okay guys, we’re here." Glen said to them. "Okay there’s an open window, we’ll climb in through there, the door will be obvious." So they climbed in through the window and were in the party.

Nearby, was Spencer and her father. Ashley was looking around, trying to find Sam. As she was looking around she caught a glimpse of Spencer and immediately felt her heart soar.
