Preciosa – (Chapter: Excuse Me Mr. C)

The young girl nodded her head and headed out of the classroom to her next class.

Spencer looked at her watch and decided to head over to Ashley’s office to see if the brunette wanted to join her for lunch. She headed towards the music building and picked up her cell phone. She dialed Ashley’s office number and heard it ring. There was no answer and Ashley’s voicemail kicked in. Spencer left a brief message and headed inside the building. She made her way up the stairs to Ashley’s office and saw that the door was closed. She knocked lightly but received no answer.

‘Where did she go? I thought her class wasn’t until later this afternoon?’ Spencer wondered looking up and down the hallway. She headed towards the information desk. “Excuse me…” The young girl was wrapped up in her phone conversation and ignored the blonde. “Excuse me…” Spencer got fed up and took the phone from the girl’s hand.

“Hey that’s mine!” The young girl cried.

“Could you please tell me where I can find Professor Davies?” Spencer asked holding the cell phone hostage.

“She left for lunch. She didn’t say where she was going but that she would be back in time for her classes. Can I have my phone back now?”

“Here.” Spencer said tossing the phone back to the girl. ‘I guess I’ll try to her later then.’ She decided to head back to her office and eat her lunch alone.

Ashley parked her car in the parking lot of the restaurant and stared at her steering wheel. She wasn’t sure if she could go through with her plan but knew that she had to. She took one last deep breath and headed inside. She asked the hostess if Arthur had arrived and the girl nodded. She walked Ashley to the back of the restaurant where Arthur was sitting. Arthur rose from his seat and gave Ashley a big hug.

“Hey Mr. C.” Ashley said after he let her go.

They both sat down and ordered their meals. The waitress returned with their drink orders and Ashley began to trace the outside of her water glass. She could see the condensation that had formed on the outside of the glass and watched as little beads of water fell to the tabletop.
