    Spencer is loud, three is a crowd, and Lindsay…well, she’s just a bitch.

    “What’s up, Aiden?” Erin said as she closed the door behind her.

    “Oh, hey Erin…Erin!” Aiden exclaimed, realizing the drama that was about to unfold.

    He had tried to sleep through the noises coming from behind the bedroom door, but it was impossible. He was just happy the two had finally come to their senses and gotten back together. But now as he watched Erin search the living room for some unknown object, all he felt was sick.

    “Whatcha lookin’ for?” he asked innocently.

    “I left my phone here, and you know me. I can’t live without it. Have you seen it?”

    “Uh…no. Are you sure you left it here? Did you check your car or your purse or somewhere else that’s uh…far away?”

    “Aiden, what’s your deal? You’re acting like a freak. Like, more so than usual,” Erin said with a smile as she searched the kitchen.

    “This is how I always am in the morning before I get my Starbucks fix. It’s a problem.”

    “Oh. Sure…ok. Hey, where’s Ashley?”

    “Ashley who?”

    “Aiden…” Erin replied, her eyebrow raised.

    “Oh, Ashley! I thought you said uh…something else. Ashley isn’t here. She went to go…buy…a…flashlight. Yeah, a flashlight.”

    “Why would she need that?”

    “Um, for her car. You know, safety reasons.”

    “And she needed it by,” Erin said, looking at her watch, “7:30 in the morning?”

    “You can’t be too early for safety,” Aiden said, his expression serious.

    “Wow, ok. Well do you think Spencer would mind if I look in her room for my phone?”

    “Oh, she’s sleep so…”

    “Great, I’ll just sneak in and look around. I won’t even have to wake her up,” Erin replied, making her way to the door and opening it before Aiden could stop her.

    He braced himself for the screaming, yelling, and drama, but there was nothing. Just eerie silence at Erin stood in the doorway in shock.

    “Erin, I tried to stop you from…”

    “This has nothing to do with you, Aiden. This is my fault. This is all my fault,” she responded.

    “Erin, this isn’t your fault, ok? You can’t blame yourself.”

    “Aiden, come on. Who didn’t see this coming? I just can’t believe I was so stupid.”

    Their voices eventually stirred Spencer, who sat up slowly and stretched before opening here eyes. Once she did, she wished she hadn’t. Erin stared back at her, a single tear running down her emotionless face.
