No Longer Roommates, But Mates. – (Chapter: Why, Then?)

    Ch. 7

         Spencer’s POV:

I don’t know how to deal with this. What do you do with your fiancé suddenly goes crazy and cheats on you? I needed some air. I left Ashley at home to think about what she wanted to do. Part of me wanted to just cry and the other part of me wanted to just forget about everything. It still hadn’t fully sunk in that my beloved Ashley, the jealous and protective lover of mine, had betrayed me. I was so stressed out; what was I going to do with her? I had to be with her and be patient with her and help her through this, right? “Damn it!” I cursed under my breath, slamming my cup of coffee on the table. Some of my coffee splashed out and went onto the shirt of a passerby. “Crap! Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry.” I said quickly, getting a napkin. “Do you need to get this dry cleaned? I’ll pay the bill if you do.” I helped her wipe some of the liquid off, and when I looked up I saw calm, serene hazel eyes staring back at me. The girl smiled gently at me. She had blonde hair as well and was tall with a slightly tanned, toned body. “Oh no, it’s okay.” She said sweetly. “Are you sure?” I asked nervously. I stared at the ground. “Absolutely.” She said, lifting my chin up slightly to look at me straight in the eyes. “You have the most striking blue eyes I’ve ever seen.” She said softly. I swallowed hard. “Uh… thanks. You do too.” I replied, blushing. ‘So you’re sure you don’t want me to repay you or anything?” I asked. “If you really want to repay me, come over to my place.” She purred.

It was an invitation for disaster. A classic example of when temptation comes knocking at your door. It wasn’t so much that this girl was hot; it was that I was hurt, and I simply didn’t want to deal with Ashley’s problems which were also my problems. A part of me wanted to let her know just how badly she’d hurt me. It was childish of me; it was completely wrong. You don’t do this to someone who already isn’t ready to fully trust you. What’s that old cliché? 2 wrongs don’t make a right? But I couldn’t help it. I was so wrapped up in my bitterness, disappointment and hurt that I dove headfirst into this, even though I knew that it would be yet another devastating blow to our relationship. When you’re so wracked with heartache and pain and confusion, you’ll be surprised at how you lose all ability to think rationally. You do things you would never normally do. It’s like being drunk of high. When you’re overly emotional, you’re high off of your very own stupid emotions. You don’t think, and that’s exactly what happened to me. Like an ignorant sheep led to the butcher’s shop, I willing followed the girl to her lair.

    1. Spencer you moron! You better tell her even though it’s going to tear her apart, I just don’t get this at all! I mean she knows how it feels to havre this happen to her and her first reaction is to go out and do the same thing right after she’s told Ash that they need to get help and sort their shit out. I know Ash screwed up big time but she did it once and was under the influence of a shit load of alochol not three times like Spencer has all of which were done when sober. I’m just wondering if what that girl said was right, does Spencer really really want to be with Ash?!?!?! Please post more soon, I love this fic.

    2. god they’re both screwing up their relationship with eachother. they got get their shit together i hope spence does tell ashley the truth. and the work on making it workout for them. great update!pms!!!

    3. WTF Spencer? Lois said it the best, “You just pressed the self-destruct button on your relationship.” No shit! All hell is about to break lose after Spencer tells an already jealous Ashley what she has done. Ashley was drunk and stupid and couldn’t remember what she had done, but Spencer had pre-meditated sex which is worse. The downward spiral of their relationship just hit the fiery pit of hell. – PMS
