“Ashley I want you and Max to report back here tomorrow.”

“No!” I cover my mouth with my hand.

“What did you say?” Shit..

“Look Jesse please…we can do this, hand over the assignment fully to me.”

“What?”

“Please I can do this. Let me do this my way and I swear to you I will take her down and Shadow Labs.”

“Ashley I know you’re my best agent but..”

“Trust me teacher…I’ll handle it and once its over me and Max will head back.”

“One more month. If this isn’t over in one month Ashley I’m coming down there to personally take care of it myself and drag you and your sister back here…do your job Ashley.” She hangs up and I sigh. One month…only one month left with Spencer. I get up and head to Max’s room. I walk in without knocking. She looks up and looks at me before going back to rolling her joint. I walk up to her.

“Maxine.” She doesn’t say anything, she doesn’t even look at me. “So what…we’re going to let a girl get in between us? We’re blood.”

“No your letting a girl get in between us and our job.”

“There more to just killing people. There’s more out there than just the organization.” She scoffs
