    New Moon Over Volterra

    Know you a place

    Where intense sunlight

    And the obsure new moon

    Slam together

    In a fatal break?

    Shadows smearing

    stone walls and arches

    belong to anything

    but human forms.

    Gate slams

    with thy final fate.

    Oblivious to the peril within her walls,

    you run through the city's

    irregular cobblestone streets.

    In blissful ignorance

    you put your trust in love

    without realizing the consequences

    of such a reckless choice.

    Fountain in the center,

    Romanticism at its lovliest.

    New Moon

    over the castled city,

    Deadly beauty.

    The importance of an existance,

    The failure of one life.
