“You ready love?” She asked in the softest voice.

I nodded my head yes and I could feel my heart beating with anticipation while she made her way over to the passenger side of the Mustang. The first thing I noticed when I stepped out of the car was the most warm, heavenly breeze touch my skin followed by the intoxicating smell of the ocean. I instantly relaxed into Ashley’s body from the overwhelming sensation and she hugged me from behind.

“Take the blindfold off Spence.”

My jaw dropped at the sight before me. We were at a completely secluded beach and the sun was just about to set, but that wasn’t even the best part. Out lying in the sand was a huge blanket surrounded by candles and in the middle sat a basket.

I could feel Ashley’s grip on me tighten as my smile grew. Everything was absolutely perfect. Ashley grabbed my hand and guided us over to the blanket where we both took a seat.

“So whatcha think?” Ashley asked.

“It’s beautiful Ash. When did you? How did you?” Nothing seemed to be coming out of my mouth right and she thankfully cut me off with a passionate kiss and then pulled away to leave me speechless.

“You’re beautiful”

Oh she was really turning on her charm tonight. I have the hardest time keeping my composure when she says things like that to me. She makes it so easy to love her.

We were facing each other cross legged on the blanket, sharing small kisses and just admiring each other’s beauty. The way the evening’s sun reflected off Ashley was breathtaking. Her auburn hair turned gold in the setting sun’s rays and her tanned skin glowed. Like I said – stunning. I closed my eyes for a brief moment, trying to store away a mental image of how amazing Ashley looked.

“For dinner, PB&J sandwiches and Champaign.”

“Peanut butter and jelly? Really Ash?” My eyes started to tear up from laughing so hard.

“What? Okay so I’m not the best cook.” Ashley dropped her head sounding disappointed.

“No Ash its fine. It’s the thought that counts, really.” I took her face between my hands and forced her to look at me. “Plus I can teach you how to cook. I have a chef in the family, remember?”
