“Hey love birds” Aiden interrupted. “Your drinks are ready so come and get em’.”

After all the beverages had been made, the four of us relaxed amongst the furniture and talked about everything and anything. Spencer and I sat in a large recliner with the leg rest out so she could sit in between my legs with her back to my front, while Aiden and Adrianne sat side by side on an adjacent love seat. They really look like they’d make a cute couple, too bad she’s only in town for the weekend though.

“So Spencer, how long have you known Ashley?” Adrianne asked in a bit of a drunken slur.

“Well we went to the same high school, but we officially started dating about three days ago.” Spencer replied and I placed a light kiss on the hot flesh of her neck.

“And they’ve been the best three days of my life.” I added and Spencer shifted in my arms, which were wrapped around her small body, to gaze lovingly into my eyes.

“Wow I woulda guessed you two were together for years had you not told me.” Adrianne’s eyes widened in disbelief.

“Yeah Ash I’ve never seen you like this before. It’s kinda refreshing.” Aiden said and I just continued to make googly eyes with the beautiful girl in front of me. “Who knew there was someone out there who could tame the beast?” Aiden chuckled and I broke eye contact with Spencer to throw him a look.

“Ashley we’re you a playa?” Adrianne joined in Aiden’s laughter. Okay its official, they were made for each other.

“Could we maybe not talk about this right now?” I hinted toward the girl in my lap.

“You should hear some of the pickup lines she uses to get girls. They’re freakin’ hilarious and they work! Everyone at the station has her on this high pedestal, like she’s a god or something.” Aiden just wouldn’t let it go.

“Aiden seriously, can you just drop it.”  I said between clenched teeth, beginning to get really pissed off.

“Oh you’re just upset cuz you haven’t gotten any in about a week.” It was as if Aiden’s words had set off a time bomb in my head and before I knew it my fist had connected with his solid jaw, racking pain throughout my entire hand.
