It was difficult to keep myself in check that night with Ashley, but the next night was even more difficult; it was the night of Mrs. Dooly’s wake and everyone had been silent most of the day. That night, all six of us shared Sara’s room to accommodate the overnight guests, but mostly just to console Sara, but we used her relatives as an excuse.
I knew she appreciated it, and it felt like old times with us all in the room together. I kind of missed it….
In fact, when I woke up the next morning I thought I was at school. Sara’s cries woke me out of my restless sleep, but her cries were of actual tears and we all went to her wordlessly, to comfort her as she lay encased in Kelly’s arms.
We took two separate cars to the funeral that morning, Kelly driving Sara, Mikey, Mr. Dooly, and Nana Dooly, while Gage drove Jess, me and Ash.
Ashley wore the simple black dress that I picked out of her closet and as I zipped the back up for her I felt her body shaking slightly. I held her in my arms for a long time after that and when we finally made it downstairs after I put on my black skirt and black sweater, four sets of red eyes confirmed that we weren’t the only ones trying to find solace on this difficult morning.
But the service was quite beautiful. In the front pew were Kelly, Sara, Mikey, Mike, and Nana Dooly. The four of us sat directly behind Sara and throughout the whole mass our hands never left her shoulders as they shook in grief.
For the most part we all remained pretty collected. That is until Ashley sang.
I looked down as she squeezed the hand she was holding tightly and she gave me a grim smile I answered with a confused look. Ashley stood and Gage stood as well, standing next to her, and Jess followed suite as Ashley left the pew.
Gage carefully brushed down her black dress pants as she took her seat again; she put her arm around Jess and took the hand that Ashley was just holding.
Sara’s sobs grew louder as the opening cords of Ava Maria started to play and I curled up into Gage’s shoulder as the tears streamed down my face while Ashley sang.

Do it I freaking dare you! (Also, I think you could use a sex comma death break. You have to have been writing nonstop to put out this much material in so little time) Ok so I haven’t read it I just had a really great idea I don’t want to forget. You should go to one of those lame make-a-quiz websites and make a “Which MD School girl are you” quiz! Genius right! Anyways I think I would be Jess, but weirder and naughtier, soooo Sara? Halp?!
Haha ok now that I’ve read it I must admit I have to agree with you that it’s a tad inappropriate for them to bang it out right now … *grumble grumble* I applaud your restraint (read: cruelty) and anxiously await the next chapter :)
What a treat! I was hoping that you might go down this route if you included the club in one of your chapters!! Spencer on stage HAWT DAMN ..Ash is going to be a puddle before Spence is done….probably the other girls too!! You are a tease tho’….however, we’d all be complaining if you got them together too quickly so don’t listen to the blue ballers lol! I loved the bedroom scene with the opera music…I’ve always loved that piece and it fit the mood perfectly…I am already pining for the next chapter…please, please don’t torture us for too long….please?!?! *pout*

Oh dear oh dear. Lol. I’m way excited for next update. I have to say this is probably my favorite story on this site. Spencer’s intentions just crack me up, but in all seriousness that’d be my intention with Ashley too. Ha.

have i told you lately how much i enjoy your work? i hope so because you deserve to hear it like every five minutes! no five seconds! this update was awesome… it was nice to see a different dimension… the grieving, sadness, etc. everything, even the funny and sexual stuff, kinda slowed down and i still felt the weight of the situation in everything that the girls were doing… it was cool to read! i can’t wait for the next chapter! spencer is gonna rock ashley’s socks off! or at least i hope she is!!! ooohhh i’m excited!!! thanks for writing!

Oh my god, I cannot wait for the next post! I bet its gonna be awesome!! What am I talking about, OF COURSE it will be. Always is with you! Oh, and I’m really looking forward to this one-shot you have in the works. I think I would prefer if you did a 2 or 3 parter, rather than throw it all out in one go. That way it will last longer for us readers. But either way it will still rock!
