Ashley spent the month drunk.  Any way to escape reality. She made bargains with the universe: Make everything go away and she’ll go clean. Eventually, her lawyers managed to prove that the girl in the video was not Ashley, even though the girl pressing charges against Ashley was the very same girl who Ashley had spent the night with. The timestamp on the tape showed that it was filmed two days before Ashley had met the girl. It was all part of a plan to extort several million dollars from the Davies family.

It was just the wake-up call Ashley needed. She stopped her partying ways, and only drank occasionally. Her father had been relieved, although there was hardly anyone in France who did not know the Davies name after that incident. Raife had managed to control the situation, and they stayed on in France for another year while he built his label there.

Ashley kept her head down and her nose clean for a couple of months before getting bored. She started going to work with her father, figuring that she could learn a couple of things about the scene firsthand. That was the day she met Delilah, and she hasn’t looked back since. She learned her lesson the hard way. The price that comes with being a famous producer’s daughter is that everyone, no matter how innocent they may seem, would try to use her.

Ashley had thought that she could go through with sleeping with Spencer, but remembering all the shit she went through just to get to that moment, that one moment with Spencer on top of her, well, she couldn’t just throw it all away for that one moment of weakness.

Ashley smiled softly at how far she’s come in eighteen months. She dragged herself back to the present, where Spencer was still talking, unaware that Ashley hasn’t been paying attention. Ashley studied Spencer closely. The blonde genuinely seem to want to be friends with Ashley, and bonus points to her for not bringing up Raife Davies. I could like this girl, Ashley thought. But somewhere at the back of her mind, she knew that Spencer wanted more.

And Ashley was just too greedy to not want more either. She was conflicted. She knew she would never cheat on Delilah; the girl meant too much to Ashley to throw away over a fling. Although she never believed in sleeping around, Ashley had a slutty side too. It was lying dormant in her somewhere, and Spencer just managed to piqué her interest enough that Slutty Ashley was just dying to burst through like a stripper from a bachelor party cake.

 Flirting isn’t counted as cheating right? Ashley wondered. Slutty Ashley nodded vigorously. Game on.
