Loving Annabelle, Alternate Ending Fan Fiction Contest

Erasing the last proof of her previous activities, the woman discretely wiped her tears with her sleeve before adopting a warm smile and turn to her husband "Everything’s fine! How was your day?"

Back at the love nest, Annabelle was muttering some lyrics, stroking the chords of her guitar while Simone was buried in a book (She had finally caught up with the L word’s last season.). Pausing a moment, Annabelle couldn’t suppress a tender grin as she watched her partner’s forehead’s wrinkle appear as she frowned, curling a golden lock of her hair around her finger, deep in her book. She always had the same irresistible attitude while reading a book, which, Annabelle found so <Damn cute. And gorgeous.>. As she bit her lip, uncertain of what she was going to do, she nervously and shakily played the first notes of a song she had only played once in Simone’s presence. One time, one night. The night her dreams had finally caught up with reality. The night she had finally been able to feel Simone shiver under her touch. The night she had let her in.

Not really trusting her fingers nor her voice, she played a slower and more acoustic version of the song, looking straight at Simone, her eyes filled with love.

As she heard the first note, Simone’s heart stopped. Looking up to Annabelle who was sitting on the opposite couch, she felt a warm wave of love traverse her. Unable to speak and not wanting to break the spell she was under, she eyed Annabelle intensely as she listened to her low and warm voice. Her heart beating again and at a rapid pace, she felt tears brimming her eyes as she remembered the night Annabelle had sung that song for her. The place had been crowded, yes, but it was to her only she had sung, looking at her, only breaking the stare for a quick glance to her guitar.

When Annabelle strung the last chord, still amazingly nervous, Simone slowly got up. Cupping the young woman’s face, she smiled tenderly as she read the nervousness through her eyes, and smoothly reached her lips to drag her into a passionate languorous kiss. As she closed her eyes to feel the kiss take her over, a trapped tear rolled down Annabelle’s cheek. Having closed her eyes, she didn’t see the same thing happening on Simone’s.
