Loving Annabelle Alternate Ending Fan Fiction Contest
Cat was eager, probably overeager actually, to finally be able to fill the others in on Miss Bradley’s and Annabelle’s relationship. Honestly, some people were so blind and accepting; it was all just so stupid. Someone should simply hand a dunce cap to anyone who hadn’t realized that both Annabelle and her teacher, Miss Bradley, were still missing from lunch. Kristen and Colins had shot her a look like she was just being spiteful, however Cat chose to ignore that as she stormed away from the table. Colins chose the few seconds after Cat left the table to look at Kristen, who looked down guiltily at the table. She wasn’t moving, so Colins did. She’d be brave for Annabelle.
Cat had been patient for a few seconds, but if she was forced to wait any longer to tell the news, it’d be unbearable. “Mother Immaculata,” she began.
“Yes Catherine?” Mother Immaculata turned to face her student.
“I’m worried…”
“About Kristen,” Colins piped up as she sat down beside Cat.
“What?” Cat and Mother Immaculata asked the question at the same time, which caused Mother Immaculata to give both girls an odd look. She was obviously not following the conversation.
“She’s so worried about chemistry lately.” Colins continued easily, hoping that Cat would be stunned and not say anything stupid. “She doesn’t want to be a senior again, you know.” She looked pointedly at Cat. “It’s just so stressful.”
Cat rolled her eyes at Colins’ pathetic story. “She’ll be fine; she already took that class once.” She look back at Mother Immaculata with a promising smile. “I’ll loan her my notes later.”
Mother Immaculata nodded briefly. “Congratulations girls. You two solved this problem without me. However in the future, if Kristen ever needs tutoring or someone to talk to…Please, let her know that she can feel free to talk to me.” With that said, Mother Immaculata stood up and walked near Kristen and placed a knowing hand on her shoulder encouragingly before walking out of the dining hall, leaving a stunned Kristen to stare at Cat and Colins.
Cat seethed, “What the hell were you doing?” The comment was aimed at Colins, but Colins had already lost her nerve and had nervously fled away from Cat. She knew that Cat would be angry, but it would give Annabelle and Miss Bradley a few more minutes for whatever they were doing or whoever they were with. It wasn’t like Cat was ever that nice to begin with.
