You know that one day at school every year when it snows for the first time and everyone freaks out over it like they’ve never seen snow before? This is that day.

The snow started falling during the last hour of the day and the poor teacher lost all of the class’s attention to the white flakes falling outside. Most of the kids continued watching the snow until the bell rang at the end of the hour. I, however, took the opportunity to text with Spencer.
"Hey, you," I texted.
"Hey, snow!"
"I know. What are you doing tonight?"
"Going on the date you’re about to ask me on."
"K good Want to go to the Twilight District?"
"Of course. Gotta go teacher is looking."

The Twilight District is this new outdoor mall. It doesn’t really have my type of clothing stores but it has a Starbucks and a cinema so it’s all good.

The bell rang and everyone hurried to get outside, eager to play in the snow. Really, will they ever grow up? I trudged over to my locker where Spencer was already waiting for me, her nose and ears red from the cold. She is just so damn cute, I thought to myself. She smiled at me and gave me a quick kiss. I put my books away and grabbed her hand, leading us to my car.
"I have to stop at home and get some warmer clothes," I said as I turned the heat on and pulled out of the school parking lot.
"Okay. Do you mind if I borrow some?" she asked.
"Of couse not," I smiled.

We got to my house and went upstairs to my room. I rummaged through my overflowing closet and pulled out a black jacket for myself and a brown one for Spencer. I know I have gloves around here somewhere. I found them in a shoebox. Why are they in a shoebox? I don’t know. I tossed some gloves to Spencer.
"You ready?" I asked her.
"Yep," she said, displaying her gloved hands proudly.
"Alright then let’s go."

The Twilight District is a bit of a drive from my house; about an hour. Unfortunately we hit the worst of rush hour traffic, extending the drive to two hours. The winter sun was setting when we finally got there. The trees that ran the middle of the walkways at the mall were strung with Christmas lights, some just white and some colorful. It was a beautiful sight, I must say. I took Spencer’s hand in mine and we began to walk around.
"Ooo! The Apple Store! Let’s go in," she said, pointing at the chic store on the corner. We walked in and played with the computers and iPods for a while. I found some really nice headphones and ended up buying them.
"Where to next?" I asked.
"Hmm…coffee?" she suggested. We headed on over to Starbucks and I bought us both a coffee. It felt good on my cold hands. After coffee we still had time to kill, so we saw a movie. We ended up seeing The Strangers, and I had Spencer nearly sitting on me and cutting off the circulation to my arm with her death grip.
