You know I really tried.I really wanted to keep the peace.Jacob asked for it.Edward didn't stop apologizing afterward.I didn't care.Jacob asked for it.First he imprints on our daughter and now this. Edward had all the right in the world do hit him. Jacob got me s mad.I would have rather that I did it. Than Jacob would get karma and Edward wouldn't feel bad. Jacob just sat by that tree all day.Waiting to heal like all werewolves did.Shapeshifters..sorry.I went to the tree.I wanted to smack him with it but.

"I'm sorry,Bella." Jacob said.

"You imprinted on my daughter and now this.Jacob,Edward is inside your head whether he wants to be or not."I said sternly.

"I thought we were past this.I thought I said we were just friends."I said sternyl again.

"Bells,I love Renesme but in all fairness you were here first."Jacob said with remorse.

"You can't think such inappropriate things.I am his.He is mine" I don't want to hurt him but truth isn't easy.

"I know.I know."

"Jacob,I think you should go back to La Push for awhile.Just let this die down,okay?"I tried to be less stern.More human than vampire.

"Your right Bells."He kissed my forehead,phased and then ran off.

I knew it hurt him.I hurt him.Away from Renesme.I didn't know how long that could last.I ran to the house to meet Edward.Renesme was with Carlisle and Esme so we could talk.I walked into the cottage.Edward was sitting by the fire.He stared at it like something was in it. It only reminded me of my unsettling feelings earlier last week.

"Edward..I"I wanted to apologize but he cut me off.

"Don't.Don't.It's not your fault."He rose from his seat.

He grabbed my face and brought it to his.If I were still Bella Swan,I would have bruised..again.He picked me up.I laughed.He smiled his crooked smile.The one I loved.As he brought me to the room,I studied him.His marble skin,his bronze hair,his gold eyes.Oops.I didn't notice I was on the bed.I guess he noticed I was so wrapped up in my studying.He laughed as I snapped back into reality.He grabbed my face again.We kissed passionately.Then it became one of those nights.We were at it all night.We forgot to go pick up Renesme.It was different than others.We were one person.Afterwords,we lay on the bed.I moved his hands and lay my head on his chest.He replaced his hands on me again.I sighed one of relief and drunken with ecstasy.We just layed there,silent.Then the phone rang and we snapped out of it.I ran to my cell phone.I lay back down with the phone to my ear.Edward played with my hair as I answered the phone.
"Hello,Bells.It's Charlie.You know your dad."Charlie was annoyed.I hadn't seen him since Christmas Eve.

"Hi dad."Edward motioned."Oh.Edward says Hi too."

"Hi Edward.Hi Bells.How are things?How's he treating you?"Charlie asked.

"Just fine dad.Perfect actually.He's just perfect."I wanted to annoy him.

"Need to know  Bells.Only need to know things please."

Edward was the first one to laugh.Then I joined followed by Charlie.

I got off the phone about two minutes later.Only after I promised to bring Renesme in the coming days.I looked to Edward,who's eyes were closed.I smoothed out the wrinkles in his forehead and kissed his pale lips.He opened his eyes immediately and returned the favor.We finally got out of bed around 2 o' clock.We went to the main house to pick of Renesme.I had to bring her to Charlie.As I left,Edward was on the piano.He hated when I left.So did I.It was like We were only half of ourselves without the other.I dropped Renesme and Jacob off and came straight back.As I parked the car I heard Edward was still on the piano.He was welcoming me home.as always, with my lullaby.I loved hearing my lullaby.I ran into the house and jumped into his arms.We shared a long kiss.Then He threw me on his back and ran.He brought me to a meadow.Our meadow.It all came rushing back.The human memories were all there.It then recreated as a newborn vampire.Afterwords,we lay there holding hands.I stopped breathing.(an unnessecary thing)I think that's what worried him.Just out of habit we breathed as any human would.
"Love,are you okay?What are you thinking?"It bothered him not to be able to read my mind.

"Just thinking how lucky I am.Me and Renesme both.To have you."I smiled and he leaned in and kissed me.
