Jumping, Twirling, Falling – (Chapter: 1)

Fuck fuck fuckety fuck. I can’t believe this shit! One stupid mistake like breaking into a house to skate in their empty pool and doing a sweet jump that ended unexpectedly, accidently causing 140,000 dollars in damages and now I’m stuck in this stupid courtroom listening to other people decide what’s going to happen with my life! I mean, yes, I possibly had it coming, and yes,  this may have been my 9th time riding in the back of a police car, and yes, maybe, just maybe, I may have gotten the whole 9 strikes and you’re out speech last time I was in a police station, but come on! If you think about it, this isn’t my fault. It’s society’s fault for being so damn strict with their "rules" and their "laws".  But if I was being completely honest with myself, which I try to avoid at absolutely all cost, there’s a small, teeny-tiny part of me that’s happy that somewhere, someone is paying attention. But that’s ridiculous, right? I mean, there’s people that think about me. Probably hating me, too, but let’s not dwell on that.

    "Ashley Davies!"

I interrupt my little internal monologue to look at the 70-year-old judge in front of me. "Yes Judge Judy?" Okay, so I may have issues with authority, but it’s not like it’s every come back to bite me in the ass, right? I mean, this is clearly demonstrated by the oh-so-lovely courtroom setting.

"You broke into a house, causing 140,000 dollars in damages and you will be required to make full restitution. In the meantime, you will be spending time at either Texas Military School or Carlin Gymnastic Academy."

What the fuck?? That bitch did NOT just say CGA!! I turn around to glare at my dad who’s sitting behind me, not even bothering to pretend he didn’t have something to do with this. "CGA, Dad? What the hell? Have you been paying attention at all for the last two years, or did you somehow miss the fact that the entire gymnastics world would like nothing more than to kill me?!"

"I’m not going to apologize, Ash. You need to get a wake up call, and you never did anything like this when you were doing gymnastics. I just don’t know what else to do with you anymore."
