I Write Sins Not Tragedies – (Chapter: Where’d They Go?)

“Well, I was…” she looks down at her feet trying to get the courage to say whatever it is she wants to say, and I can’t help but let my eyes wander back over to the brunette in the bathroom. “Oh my God, Spencer! Can you stop thinking about fucking my sister for two point five seconds?” she yells out. Ashley looks over at us with confusion, and I look over at Kyla with guilty eyes. She’s fuming. “I wanted to say something important, and you can’t even pay attention to hear what I have to say! Don’t you have any will power? It’s not like you two can’t just screw each other without worrying about Aiden and me now. You can’t give me five fucking minutes of your time?” With that she storms out of the bedroom, and Ashley comes into her room. She raises an eyebrow in question.

    “I…um…was rude,” I state.

“Maybe, you should go talk to her? Try and see what she had to say.” I nod my head, get off her bed and give her a kiss. I make my way over to the room that just a few weeks ago I confidently walked into without hesitation. Now I’m outside the door, wondering if I should knock or if I should just walk in. Considering that we’re no longer together, I’m guessing that I’m not actually welcomed here. I knock softly.

    “Kyla?”

    “What?” she asks bitterly

“I’m really sorry, I was an ass. Please, I would like to listen to what you have to say.” There is a minute of silence, and then she opens the door. She looks at me with a hard gaze, judging whether or not I’m worth the time, and then she slowly steps away indicating I can come in. I stand there awkwardly remembering all the time we spent in this room under nicer conditions.
