i just wanted you to know – (Chapter: interesting, to say the least)
"SPENCER!" she yelled across the room.
Spencer heard her name being called, and immediately saw the girl she was looking for. She made her way through the mass of students to the table Ashley was standing on top of.
"There you are. Come on, let’s go get a seat."
Spencer was standing on the bleachers with the rest of the kids screaming her heart out.
"0-7! 0-7! 0-7!" The entire junior class was yelling, trying to out-shout the seniors on the other side of the gym.
Ashley sat next to where Spencer was standing, looking like a pathetic little puppy. She really did hate these things, and Spencer wasn’t even talking to her. She was too busy with her cheering.
Spencer noticed the depressed look on Ashley’s face and couldn’t help but notice how adorable she looked.
She sat down next to her friend and looked at her. "Just to let you know, I would so kiss you right now."
Ashley’s face lit up. She smiled at Spencer and said "Hey, come with me."
She stood up and led Spencer down the bleachers and out of the gym. The teachers were too busy cheering on the mascot, who was now doing a dance in the middle of the basketball court, to notice the two of them leaving.
She pulled Spencer through the doors in to the bathroom. Since everyone was at the pep rally, it was empty. She sat Spencer up on the ledge sticking out from the wall and just stared into her eyes. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to get enough of this. Just looking at eachother and connecting in a way I never knew was possible. Maybe that’s why I love her. We just…click, I guess. Wait, what? Did I just say that I love her? Here comes that panicked feeling again..crap.
Ashley took note of Spencer’s face, and assumed that whatever she was thinking about in that beautiful head of hers was worrying her.
"Nobody’s in here Spence. Nobody’s gonna see us, I promise." And with that, she leaned in towards Spencer’s face. Spencer met her half way with her eyes closed, and their lips brushed. Spencer turned her head, turning the contact into a loving kiss. Hah. There are those shocks again, pulsing through me. But this is how I know it’s right. Doing this, kissing Ashley, feels natural. It was never like this with Aiden or the guys back in Ohio.
They pulled apart and smiled. Less than a second later though, Spencer’s smile fell from her face. She was looking over Ashley’s shoulder, at the window on the door. Only problem was, the window wasn’t empty. Her worst fears were staring right back at her. Her nightmare had taken the form of a Latina, cheer-leading bitch named Madison Duarte.
Suddenly panicking at the look on Spencer’s face, Ashley assumed she must have done something wrong.
"Spence? What’s the matter? Did I push you too far? I’m so sorry I promise I’ll never do it again. I swear! Please don’t be mad at me…"
"…no…behind…she saw…no…"
Ashley, who was now confused more than anything, turned her head over her shoulder and saw what had turned Spencer’s face so pale and had caused her to begin to shake.
An evil smirk had taken form across Madison’s face as she had watched the two girls kiss. She finally had what she needed to make her boyfriend’s sister’s life a living hell.
