Ashley Spencer and Aiden sat in the back, Ashley was in the middle and Spencer sat to the right of her. Clay and Glen sat in the middle row, Glen was in front of Spencer, and Paula was in the passenger seat, Arthur was driving. At first everyone played the license game. After a few hours passed Ashley put on her I-pod and fell asleep listening to it. Clay nodded off, and Glen was playing with some portable game. The radio was playing in the background. Paula was reading, Spencer was looking out the window and Aiden had his head phones on listening to music. Ashley whimpered in her sleep. Spencer looked at her then back out the window.

Ashley’s dream: Ashley was in a hospital room lying down watching TV when Spencer walked in, in a nurses uniform.

Ashley Now: Ashley let out a moan. Spencer looked over again and back out the window.

Ashley: “That feels soo good.” she moaned. Spencer raised an eyebrow and leaned forward, to look at Ashley’s face. “Don’t stop.” Ashley’s breathing became heavy. Spencer’s eyes widened, She looked up at Aiden, who was no longer listening to his music, but now watching Ashley with a big goofy grin on his face.

Ashley: “Oh Spencer.” she moaned quietly again. “Yes, Yes! Take my temperature!!!” Ashley became loud. Glen looked back.

Glen: “What the hell is she talking about?” He looked confused. Ashley began to rubbing her stomach and biting her lip. Clay woke up and looked at Glen.

Clay: “What’s going on?” He noticed Glen looking to the back seat grinning. Clay looked back.

Ashley: “OH SPENCER!!!!” She yelled. Spencer shook Ashley to wake her up. Paula looked back and Arthur looked in the rearview mirror. Glen’s grin fell into a disgusted look, Ashley looked around confused.

Glen: “What….what did she just say?” he looked so clueless.

Paula: “What’s going on back there?

Spencer: “Uh…nothing!”

Arthur: “Is Ashley ok?”

Spencer: “Yea…um…I accidentally stepped on her foot.” Arthur nodded and Paula faced forward again. Ashley looked at Aiden, who was still grinning.

Ashley: “What!? What’s so funny?”

Aiden: “Hope the dream was as good as it sounded.” Ashley scoffed and looked forward, noticing Glen was also looking at her. But he looked angry, Glen was glaring at her.

Ashley: “And if I may ask…” she said politely smiling “…What the hell is your problem?” she sneered. Glen rolled his eyes and faced forward. Spencer tapped Ashley’s shoulder and shook her head no.

Ashley: “What is it?” she whispered concerned.

Spencer: “He kind of heard you yelling my name in your sleep.” she whispered

Ashley: “Oh…sorry?” she looked apologetic.

Spencer: “It’s ok, I hope he doesn’t think more of it though.”

Ashley: “Your parents didn’t hear me did they? Because I don’t need your mom to hate me more than she already does.” Ashley looked nervous.

Spencer: “I don’t think so.” she shook her head. “So was it good?” she grinned

Ashley: “Wasn’t the loud moaning a dead give away?” she laughed, Spencer smiled. She stared into Spencer’s blue eyes. “Shangri La.” she sighed.

Spencer: “What?” she gave a questioning smile

Ashley: “Nothing” she brushed a strand of hair out of Spencer’s face.

Spencer: “So…what was it about?” she raised an eyebrow.”

Ashley: “Wouldn’t you like to know?” Ashley teased. The drive continued and one by one they fell asleep. Arthur and Ashley were the only ones still awake. Ashley watched Spencer as she slept. Arthur looked in the rearview mirror and noticed Ashley watching Spencer contently and he smiled to himself. They made restroom, gas and food stops, soon it was dark and they were still driving. Once again everyone was sleep except for Arthur, Ashley and Spencer. The car was completely dark except for the flash of light that came every now and then from on coming cars. Ashley reached over and laced her fingers through Spencer’s. Spencer looked up at Ashley, a little worried.

Ashley: “Don’t worry, it’s dark, no one can see.” Even though the car was completely dark, Ashley could still see Spencer’s radiant smile. They stared into each other’s eyes. Spencer ran her index finger along Ashley’s jaw line, then leaned in and kissed her. Spencer laid her head on Ashley’s shoulder, and the fell asleep in each other’s arms.
