Ashley woke up and got ready for the dinner early. She wanted to be ready when Spencer called. Even if it was going to be a few hours. Spencer went to church with her family. Ashley dreaded this day, but thinking of Spencer always made it better. When Spencer got home she called Ashley, letting her know she could come over. Ashley drove to Spencer’s and knocked on the door, she noticed another car in the driveway but didn’t give it a second thought.

Spencer: Her face lit up when she saw Ashley. “Hey ash!” she squealed, Ashley smiled and hugged Spencer.

Ashley: “Hey!” She felt Spencer tense up when they hugged, she released to see an uneasy look on Spencer’s face. Spencer opened the door more letting Ashley in. “Spence…it’s jus a hug. Calm down, “friends” hug all the time.” she whispered. Spencer’s face relaxed and she nodded. They walked into the living room to see Aiden, Chelsea, Glen and Madison sitting on the couch. Ashley’s eyes widened. Aiden was the first to look up.

Aiden: “Oh, hey ash.”

Ashley: “Hi Aiden, Chelsea, Glen…” she said happily. “…Madison.” she said through her teeth, rolling her eyes.

Madison: She rolled her eyes. “Ashley.” she said with a hint of disgust in her voice.

Glen: “Hi.”

Chelsea: “Hey Ashley, how’ve you been?” she said smiling

Ashley: “I’ve been better…” she shot a dirty look at Madison. “…but I guess I can’t complain, how about you?”

Chelsea: “I’m pretty good.”

Ashley: “That’s nice…” she grabbed Spencer’s wrist. “…excuse us.” she dragged Spencer into the dinning room. “What the hell is Madison doing here?!” she whispered angrily, nodding her head towards the living room.

Spencer: She looked apologetically at Ashley. “Glen and her…their dating now.”

Ashley: “Okay…why is everyone else here?” Ashley was still confused.

Spencer: “Well…my mom though since I was having one of my friends, you, over for dinner, that Glen and Clay should have a friend over.”

Ashley: “Ok, but that still leaves one person unaccounted for. You invited me, Glen invited Madison, and I’m assuming Clay invited Chelsea. So who invited Aiden?”

Spencer: “Actually, Glen invited Aiden. Madison just…invited herself over after hearing Glen and Aiden talking about it.”

Ashley: “Figures, she’s always got to ruin something! You do know she’ll tell your parents I’m gay right? She hates me, so of course she’s got to find some way to torture me.”

Spencer: “Don’t worry, we’ll figure something out.”
